"(Y/N), you will be aiding us in this mission."

Dark blue optics darting up, I glance towards my teammates, each holding a confused look as I stumble forward.

"Optimus, sir, I-I don't think that I'm fit for battle..."

Simply coming closer, he quietly places a servo on my shoulderplate, frame leaning down slightly to reach me.

"It is time."

Taking in a shaky vent, I nod as a groundbridge appears, each member rushing through. Optics hardening, I transform, speeding to catch up to the group as we crash into the other side.

Taking in my surroundings, I note the damp feeling of an underground cavern. Transforming, a small short-range plasma rifle activates from my servo, held high as I follow behind the bright yellow frame of Bumblebee.

Hearing a faint crash, we worriedly glance towards each other, before silently rushing towards the commotion. Coming around a rocky corner, Bumblebee leans, immediately rushing out with a blast of his weapon.

Edging around the corner, my frame locks still, vents hitching as a scene unfolds in front of me.

Optimus, locked in a grapple with a faceless purple mech.

Shockwave.

Helm darting up, the purple mech raises his optic, brightening as it locks onto me. Shoving away from his opponent, he walks forward, vision unwavering from my own as he strides closer.

Stumbling closer, coolant threatens to leak from my optics as I stare up at the bulky mech.

"(Y/N), it is-"

Bursting into a loud laugh, I rush forward, leaping as I slam into his chassis, servos gripping onto the edges as coolant drips from my optics in happiness.

"It is illogical! I know, I know Shockwave! My darling I am so-"

Unable to speak, I tilt my helm upwards, moving my servos to grasp onto the sides of his helm as I firmly place my lipplates against the bottom of his helm, his servos wrapping around me to prevent me from falling.

Pulling back, I look over to my team, Arcee and Bulkhead finding their way to us from the noise. Detangling myself from Shockwave, I stay near him, wrapping a servo around his own as I look out at them.

"What is this (Y/N)?"

Glancing over to my leader, I frown, looking down. Takin a deep vent, I peer up to the purple symbol branded proudly on Shockwave's shoulderplate.

"I-Just give us a moment will you?"

Turning to Shockwave, I lean forward, pressing my helm into his servo as he opens it, rubbing the top of my helm slowly.

"I thought you were offline."

Smiling softly at his murmured voice, I tighten my grasp, leaning further into his touch.

"I could never offline without telling you how much I loved you..."

Single optic brightening slightly, his helm tilts a fraction, amusement hiding.

"How much would that be?"

Pressing my helm against his own, I stare into his large red optic, faint blue optics overwhelmed by the stronger color.

"An illogical amount."

Receiving a small increase in pressure from our embrace, I frown suddenly, slowly unentangling myself from him, processor blurting out protest as I step away. Glancing back to my confused team, my optics turn sad as I come closer to Shockwave.

Pulling his helm down, I cover my faceplate, hiding the next words I speak to him.

"Prepare a ship, we can escape, we can leave Shockwave-

Spark churning in disgust at the thought of his loyalty to the Decepticon cause, I lean closer, squeezing his shoulderplate with my servo:

"And if you do not, I will understand."

Stepping away, my resolve hardens as I straighten my backstruts, agonized optics the only sign of pain.

"I love you Shockwave. Perhaps some day this war will end, and our functions may return to what they once were."

Slight stutter in my step, I turn, pushing away the dimming of his optic as he turns, transforming as a ground bridge appears.

The sound of tracks against rock stopping, I tilt my helm, spotting a whip of green as the portal disappears, my only remnant of Cybertron disappearing with it.
