Chapter 2
I could feel my neck being as hard as stone. Mentally groaning, I winced as I remembered the last time I had a stiff neck. Then I realized that this wasn't my pillow, nor the principal's semi-comfortable sofa. My head was pounding - a lot - and when I tried to open my eyes, with great dificulty, I didn’t see any people. Trying to get up, I stumbled back onto the hard concrete, this time releasing a groan outloud. I rubbed my forehead with my hands trying to massage and kill the pain I’m feeling in my head. Not helpful at all, mind your results.
At the risk to sound even more horror like, I then started hearing voices all around me.
What was he thinking…I should buy it…I’m so ugly…Yay! A new friend request... This bear is piss warm. Ist this even legal to sell?...
Wincing, another wave of pain wahsed over me. I tried to get up again, but with my non-athletic abilities I didn't make it. Resulting with me banging my head against the paverment. Releasing a sigh, I forced my body to comply and while I hardly managed, I succesfully started walking to the window of a store near by. Uh! My hair looked like crap! Where are my old clothes? And why in the hell am I wearing a dress and…heels? I never wear heels! Ever! Wait. Who undressed me? Was I raped? Am I still a virgin!? I grabbed and sandwiched my head with my palms as the pain increased and my head was pounding. I started to hear voices again and I stumbled on my knees. The pain is overpowering.
What is going on?
Finally, the pain stopped and I tried to get on my feet again. I looked at my brown hair that looked like a bird nest.
I tried to straighten her up. No use.
I just saw that there was a purse next to me on the pavement. I checked inside and the only thing I found were fifty dollars and a bubble gum pack. Why the hell would I need a bubble gum pack?
I looked around and I spotted Mason at the enter of the shop
“Mason!” I yelled, happy to spot him yet conserned. “Mason! Are you okay?” he woke up with confusion in his eyes. I kneeled in front of him grabbed his shoulders.
“Brinn!” He hugged me so tight he almost crushed my bones.
“Hey! Nice to see you too…Umm, Mason? I can’t breathe…”
“Oh, sorry.”
What is wrong with me? I can’t crush Brinn! She’s my crush for fuck's sake!
For a moment, I thought I was hearing his thoughts. Was that possible?-
Wow! She is so beautiful!-
Mason said that without moving his lips. He was checking me out, I can tell. I blushed
“Thank you” I said with a shy smile. I looked down at the pavement and awkwardly twisted the ankle of my right leg.
“For, what?”-he looked confused
“Wait, didn’t you just say I look beautiful?”
I said that out loud? No way!
“Yes way!” I said quickly from habit
Did she just heard my thou..
“Do you hear my thoughts?" Mason asked with a suspicion and wariness latching to his voice.
“No! You said all those things out loud…Wait…think of something...”
Like what?
