-Zoey's P.O.V-
I looked at myself in the mirror and blinked. I had showered and Colton loaned me some of his clothes which consisted of a pair of grey sweat pants, a purple tank top that had very wide armpits and a black hoodie.
I shrugged and grabbed the hairtie I always had around my wrist and pulled my wet, sloppy hair into a bun and didn't bother with makeup.
I walked out of his bathroom and he just pulled down a shirt over his head. Hot dayum!
"You look cute." He said and then gestured for me to walk first. I hesitantly walked first and we got into a big hall. This place was huge! Colton walked with me around two corners and three long halls before we got to a huge ass staircase. It looked like it was made out of marble, but it had a golden rug down in the middle, matching the railing.
I slowly walked down the long stairs. I walked so slowly Colton had to wait for me for a second.
"Come on, slowpoke." He said, grabbing my hand. He walked me through a huge foyer and then to a dining room. The second we stepped in the room fell silent. There had been some talking, but now there was nothing. "Sorry, I thought you were done eating."
Just as I caught a glimpse of a woman, man and two children Colton walked back out with me. His jaw was locked now and his eyes looked cold and hard. The next room we stepped into was a massive kitchen. He released my hand and walked to the fridge.
"Colton!" I looked behind me and my eyes widened when I saw the woman walking over to where I was. She was beautiful! Tall, skinny, but not too skinny. She had a beautiful and natrual bronze skin tone. Her eyes were brown like Colton's and her hair was long and fell in shiny waves down her back.
For clothes she wore a white casual, but classy, dress, and white heels. Not those huge heels, just small ones that made a clacking sound when she walked.
She looked very confused when she saw me though, but she put on a beautiful smile. She would put any female to shame with her radiant beauty.
"Hello, I'm Denise Williams." She said and held her hand out. I took it hesitantly and shook it.
"Zoey Kennedy." I said and my eyes widened when she pulled me into a hug after the handshake.
"Nice to meet you, honey. Now will you excuse us f-"
"Whatever you're gonna say you can say it in front of her, mother." The way he spoke the last word even gave me shivers. I looked over to him in shock, but he was all tense and cold. What the hell...?
"Colton, dear, don't be like this." Mrs.Williams more or less begged her son. Colton scoffed and rolled his eyes before he turned his back to her. I looked between them, feeling kind of out of place. Like, really out of place. "Co-"
She stopped when he raised his hand. Her eyes told me that she felt guilty for something, so I decided that whatever was going on between them, Colton must have a reason to act so disrespectful towards his mother. So slowly I made my way over to him. I put my hand on his elbow and he was about to push me away I think, but then he saw it was me and he just sighed.
"Let's get you home. We'll get breakfast on the way there." He said and took my hand. The woman just stood there with sad eyes as Colton walked past her, not giving her a second glance. I followed after him and a small girl ran out. It surprised me that she had blonde hair.
"Colton!" She squealed and ran to him.
"Hey, Nat." Colton said with a smile. He bent down and gave her a hug and whispered something in her ear. She giggled and looked up at me with a bright smile. She went up to me and then held out her hand.
"Hi, Zoey. I'm Natalie Elizabeth Joy Williams. It's very nice to meet you." She said politely and held her hand out to me. I smiled and shook it.
"Nice to meet you too, Natalie." I said with a smile. She giggled and looked up at her brother then to me before she skipped away, giggling more. I gave Colton questioning look, but he just shrugged and pulled me out the door. We walked over to a black Cayman Porsche. Colton opened my door for me like a gentleman and then walked around to the drivers side.
We drove to a gate where he typed in a code for the big metal gate to open. Then we rode in silence.
It didn't take too long before he stopped. I looked at the place and smiled when I saw he had stopped at T.G.I Friday's.
"I hope you don't mind eating here." He said and waited for my approval before he stepped out of the car. So when I nodded we both got out of the car and walked inside. We got a seat right away and it didn't take long until we had ordered out food and everything. "I'm sorry about earlier. I don't exactly have a close relationship with my mother." He said with a slight frown.
"That's okay, me neither. Honestly, my mum doesn't even talk to me. We just live under the same roof." I told him. Colton quietly nodded, then chuckled slightly.
"I always thought you had kind of a clean-cut life, besudes the fact that your parents are divorced." He admitted.
"Why did you think that?"
"I don't know. You just look too... Lively and open to have a complicated life." Colton said with a slight shrug.
"What do you know about me being open? I could be lying for all you know." I said just before the food was served. "Thank you." The waitor smiled and then shuffled away again.
"But you aren't." Colton said confidentally. I raised an eyebrow at his confidence. "Are you?" My lips formed a smirk and then I just ate while he began complaining about me not being fair right now. So after we had eaten a good breakfast/lunch, Colton paid before we left. I gave him my address and we drove with some light chit-chat. We mostly talked about school though and lucky me: I got him to give me his tests from last year, all of them. Supposedly the teachers give the same tests, so I'll just have to study his.
I know it's kind of like cheating, but at the same time, it isn't. I'll have to learn the stuff on his tests and I will read on the other stuff in my books as well. It's just so that I'm sure I'll pass with good grades.
Colton stopped in front of my house and then looked over to me. I unbuckled my seatbelt and opened the car door.
"Thank you for the clothes and breakfast." I said and then stepped out of the car. "See you on Monday." He gave a slight nod then I closed the door and walked around the hood of the car. I gave him a small wave and he waved back. Just before I opened the small gate to my house, I turned around and went to his side of the car. Colton raised an eyebrow, but he lowered the window.
"Did you forget somethi-" I cut him off by leaning down to him quickly and planting a kiss on his lips. I pulled back shortly after he responded and watched as he opened his eyes. He looked really confused.
"That's for the massage, it really helped. Drive safe, Colton. See you soon." I said and now I really turned around and went through the small gate, shut it and jogged to the door. I didn't look back, just unlocked the door, walked in and closed the door again.
Inside I let out a breath and then shook my body a bit.
"Keep it together, girl. It's just an act. They're all acting." I reminded myself quietly then walked upstairs, to my room. I went to my desk, opened my Macbook Pro and it turned on. So I quickly wrote my password and then went on Skype.
I checked the people and luckily found Nelly, so I clicked on videocall and waited.
