Imagine:

You and Liam hate each other. He was that rich, popular, good looking guy everyone in school would fawn over. Even the teachers were obsessed with him.

One day, you're carrying your books towards your locker and being the klutz you are, you end up bumping in to Liam and your books end up flying everywhere.

"I'll help you pick that up," he says to you.

Was Liam Payne actually offering to help me or was this one of his stupid pranks? Do not fall for it, y/n. Do not fall for it.

"Go away, I can do it myself," you say to him, rolling you eyes.

"Uh, okay. I'm sorry. There's really no need to be rude," he says to you.

"Pshh, I'm not being rude. Also why am I still talking to you?" you say to him.

"I really don't know, " he murmurs, moving forward until your mouths are almost touching

If someone walks in, I'm screwed. Also why does Liam smell so good, oh my god, him smelling this nice should be illegal.

"Shit, I'm getting late for biology," you say to him before this gets more uncomfortable.

You pick up your books and then leave. What had just happened, also is Liam Payne interested in me, was he about to kiss me?

So I didn't fall for any stupid prank, but I'm falling for the prankster himself.

This is all too much for you to process. Since you lied about having a biology class, you rush towards the nearest McDonalds and find Liam there.

"She bought it, you should have seen her face," Liam said to his friend looking really happy.

Oh so this was all a plan to lead me on, I knew he was a payne (pun intended) in the arse but I never expected him to stoop this low.

You're near tears when one of Liam's friend points at you which causes Liam's attention to divert towards you.

"Y/n, why are you crying?" he asks you.

"WHY AM I CRYING? YOU NEVER CHANGE, DO YOU, ALL YOU DO IS USE PEOPLE," you say to him angrily, you can feel everyone in McDonalds staring at you but you don't care.

"What do you mean?" he says looking very confused.

"I heard your whole conversation, stop trying to act all innocent" you manage to choke out.

"What - ohhhh, I was talking about my sister. She wanted these red boots for Christmas so my mum bought them for her," he says looking positively gleeful.

You can feel your cheeks flush red as you leave McDonalds. Of course on the way out, you just had to to slip on freshly mopped floor.

After this, you and Liam started dating each other and after eight years, you both got married. You also found out that although he can be a real Payne in the arse, he's also the sweetest person ever.
