Why do wooden stairs make so noise when someone steps on them?

Why do they never break..even after they are built for so many years?

Why do leaves are always scattered on the stairs of Mt.Lawrence cooleridge , street 34 ?

~Chapter-1~

"Abi !! Get up!!..Its almost 10.. U gotta help me, u promised!..common get up!"

"oohh..mom, please..Lemme sleep.. 2 mins please more plz. I-uh-.... "

-silence in the room-

"ugh,Abi. shut up and get up! "

"okay!!" abi yawns and finally shows up in th kitchen.

"good morning mom"

"Morning! get ur break fast and help me out of this mess!"

"where's dad?"

"He got a call last night.Had to go back to South to attend a meeting.He will come back by evening and .. and if I havent forgotten..Happy Birthday sweety" *she kisses on Abigail's cheek *

"Thanks mom...nut ughhh!!goddamn meeting! dad had promised he would be with us today..with me!"

"I know honey..but u know..since we have shifted here, its pretty difficult for him to adjust with his new office"

"oh common mum. Its diificult for all of us. I dont eve have any friend to celebrate my 17 bday with du-uh" *sighs!*

"aw..honey, Its okay.you will soon be with friends with someone"

"ahh...I miss Dani."

"he called you?"

"no.wait.did he?"

"no, I am asking u..if he did?"

"oh..um.no he didnt but I m sure he will."

"ya, bt Anna's mum called me last night"

"stupid boring Anna"

"No, dont say like that..she is a nice girl."

"yeah, for you! She told Madam Murray that I am on bunk!"

"it was your fault honey, then!"...."okay now, get ready, we have to clean this place"

"yeah, fine"

*Abigail goes to take a shower"
