Elysium

"Your majesty," I heard Glitch's voice behind me.

I sighed irritated and put down my bow and relaxed from my position.

Turning around the Head Iron Knight stood before me and bowed at my presence.

"Yes?" I ask.

If this is my Mom----

"The Queen wants you to go get ready for Elysium, we are departing in an hour," He said. "She expects you to be dressed and waiting downstairs in the main stairwell with Ron and the Iron Prince."

Closing my eyes, anger and irritation wash though me quickly.

Why must we go every time? It's so pointless.

"Do I have to go?" I ask. "Can't K and Ron just go and take my place? Can you please talk to her?"

"You know that the Queen expects you there, your highness," He said smiling at me. "We don't question her decisions."

I in took a breath.

"Alright," I said, shooting the last arrow at the target in the distance. "Fine."

The Head knight smiled warmly and held out his hands for the weapons.

I gave him a small smile and handed it over, and he handed the weapons to a couple of servants behind him.

Iron guards is lined up along every inch of the palace, making it impossible to sneak out of this prison. I could only escape when the sun goes down.

I walked up the stone stairs leading up to the castle doors, leaving the garden behind me.

"Princess," A servant say bowing down to me and handing me a towel.

"Thanks, Margaret," I say taking the towel and wiping it on my face.

"Your bath is ready, my lady. And the Queen has left a out the dress you are to wear to Elysium," She taking the sweaty towel from me.

"Okay, thanks," I said walking down the grand hallway.

I walked to my room and changed out of my boots and leather vest; my training attire and pulled my hair loose from my braid.

And slid into the hot bath quickly.

Then I changed to the silk dress my mother left out for me on my bed; a sleeveless pearl color dress that went down to my feet, nude color flats, and I added my own accessories; a silver snake bracelet that encircled my left arm and then a silver ring, with tiny white diamonds that scatter on the band; a gift I received from my brother.

I fix my unruly dark hair to make it look decent and looked at myself in the mirror I sighed.

Being a royal of Faery isn't as exciting as most people think. It has it's pros and cons.

Its not the life I would of chosen for myself.

Oh, you guys must be so confused. Let me introduce myself. My name is Suri. I am the Iron Princess. Daughter of King Ash, former Winter Prince and Queen Meghan, former half human Summer Princess. And we live in a world called Nevernever.

Nevernever is made up of three realms or... courts, which includes Summer, Winter & Iron. And the people that live within those Realms are called Feys, and you're either a Summer fey, Winter fey or Iron fey. Its forbidden to mix and mingle the Realms together, as in two different feys from different Courts cannot fall in love, or you'll be sent into exile. And when you're no longer living in your Realm, you will eventually Fade and dissapear.

But thats how my family is different. My father and mother are from different Realms but when they met and fell in love, which is forbidden, series of events happened resulting them to rule their own kingdom which is the Iron Realm. So thats where me and my older brother Keirran comes in, we are different. We are born with all three Realms in our blood, including we are half human, because my Mom is half human. We're the only ones ever in Faery history to have more than one courts in our blood.
