It had been two days now.
Two days of more training, two days of more disturbed my mind from the reality. Two days.
My chest felt hollow. It stopped aching the moment I got myself back to my ground. I knew I'd get used to it. It's only me and my soon-to-be-pack now.
Us werewolves didn't celebrate christmas like human would. It was not our tradition. So the fighting academy didn't have a holiday.
The fighting academy was something teen werewolves go to willingly. It didn't suck. It didn't have much drama. It was built to train us to be a good fighter. It was divide into 4 types of class; gold class, silver class, bronze class, and titanium class.
The gold class was made for alpha's and beta's bloodline only. The class was trained very seriously and sternly. Trained very professionally.
The silver class was for those who were a really good fighter and had potential to be the pack's special warrior unit.
While the bronze class was for those who had average skill of fighting. And titanium was for those who needed special training because of their lack of fighting skill.
The only time we all could get blended was at break time, also in history and biology class.
We were separated by the ranking we got from out daily fighting test and some other stuff. But that didn't happen to me and everyone on the gold class. And because there were only three people in the gold class, the teachers or the trainers trained us intensively.
"So what is our agenda for today, Mr. Dale?" Alex asked. He and his sister were in the gold class with me. Every classes had their own training hall, but the biggest and most complete hall was the gold class' hall.
"Something fun and easy. You three are going to be a mentor for several best students for the silver class." He explained, delightfully.
This was not going to be the first time we became a mentor for other classes. We're used to it.
"What are we going to train them today?" Lily, Alex's little sister asked. She was only fifteen, but her fighting skill was very excellent for girls her age.
"Archery." He answered. "And from the whole 25 students, you'll only train 12."
The people we had been talking about came inside the room a few minutes later. They came in a one neat line. We had been waiting, had stood there, watching as they made a horizontal line in front of us. Some face was familiar and some wasn't. It was because their ranks went up and down. This week they're in the silver class rank 13, the next week they're in the bronze class rank 35. No one knows.
This kind of training was usually people from rank 1 until about rank 15. Sometimes 13 or 12. However, I noticed people that never passed this special training -meaning they were probably always have the rank above 10- and those people were Blake and Jaime. Those two were always so good at fighting and battling.
"Silvers!" Mr. Dale called out. "At ease." He ordered strictly. "Today, the twelve of you are gathered in this place to train your archery skill with the golden as they will be your mentor of the day. And before we start, we will have a little demonstration from out alpha's daughter, Celine Everton."
I walked towards the pile of weapon not far from us, with elegance and an intimidating look in my eyes. Just like every time. They watched me carefully, some with curiosity, some with adoration.
After I got the bow and the arrow, I walked back and stood behind the line that was already set. The hitting target was across the room.
On the position. Concentrate on the target. Bow was my favorite weapon, the one I mastered most. Released it. I let the arrow flew across the room, cutting through the thin air beautifully. And it did hit the center of the target.
I heard some of them gasped in awe. A little smirk appeared on my lips. But faded when I turn around to face them again.
"Celine is the best archer we have in this academy. And that is why I will put her in charge for the training today." With that Mr. Dale stepped back, motioning me to come forward. And that I did.
"Good morning, class. What you all going to train today is an important weapon for a war. Because at some special occasion, there will be time when you can't switch to you wolf form in order to fight the enemy. Such as fights with the witch, or any other fights with enemies that could only be done in distance. So I need you all to learn this skill carefully and nicely." I explained formally.
The practice started then when everyone got their set of weapon. Bow and a few arrows. I spotted Blake in the end of the line. Next to him was Jaime. From the start, they were always a very hard competitors to one another.
Blake was very good when it came to handy weapon such as sword and dagger, while Jaime was very good at knife throwing. But when it came to hand-to-hand combat, they were both very good. They once had to fight hand-to-hand in the training and the result was equal. But honestly, judging from the methods and movements, Blake was actually far more potential than Jaime.
"I will give you all 15 minutes to warm up with the weapon. Use the time wisely and get use to the weapon. After that, I will give each of you three arrows and you will launch it on my command. Three most accurate archer of the 12 of you will be given additional points for you rank." I instructed. "Now, you might want to start before your fifteen minutes are up."
