I watched them train, sometimes fixing their movements, sometimes fixing their position.
Only a few minutes had gone when the main door suddenly opened loudly, making everyone stopped what they were doing and turned. A slender lady in her late forties, walking inside the room. Her heels tapping loudly against the floor, echoed through the silence. For a woman her age, she was one of a very pretty creature.
Everyone froze in place at her sight. But it didn't effect me any bit. The fixed frown that always covered her face was written all over. Head high, gaze sharp. People are intimidating in their own way, don't compare mine with hers.
"Principle Hillstone, what a surprise," Mr. Dale greeted.
Principle Hillstone, Alison Hillstone.
The blond haired lady in a neat bun stood there, eyeing everyone in the room one by one with her eagle eyes. It didn't intimidate me even a little.
"Good morning, Dale. And class," her greeted sternly. "Please, don't mind my presence, get back to train."
I sighed a little in annoyance. I never once like the woman. She always hated my presence, that's why. Ever since I came to the academy, ever since she lent her eyes on me. She always hated me to the core.
As the silvers started their training again, I only watched from the side since they could already do the archery properly. Even so, I saw Blake still having a quite hard time hitting the target, seems like this kind of weapon was not his good ally. He's more into short-distanced weapon.
"I see you've been mentoring the silvers properly, Ms. Everton." Her voice came to my hearings. I turned to look at her walking towards me, stopping two steps away. "Tell me, how was that birthday celebration of yours had been going on?" She asked formally.
"It was going as we planned, thank you for asking. It was an unfortunate that you couldn't make it." I answered politely. No matter how much I hate the woman, I still had an amount of respect for her.
She nodded once. "Tell me, Ms. Everton. Did I miss something fun?"
I raised my eyebrow at the question. Surely classic dance or whine was the "fun" she meant.
"Depend on what the fun you meant, mam. If the fun you meant was watching my father get seduced big time by the lady next door, I'm afraid you missed it." I smiled innocently.
She didn't get the joke, she never did. And that was what made it fun.
She and my father once had a relationship, long before my father found out my mother was his mate. At least that was what he told me once, not that I really interested in listening to it. It was a topic that slipped once.
Her expression hardened. "What a good humors of yours. Let's see will that smile of yours stay when the training is over."
Oh such a threat I didn't give a damn about.
She raised her hand up as a code and said loudly, "All silver, at ease!" And then she turned to look at the silvers who were now frozen in their position.
Oh those killer looks of hers.
"You may take over now, Ms. Everton."
I stepped forward, a step in front of her. Looking around at everyone's eyes shortly. Stopped a little longer at Blake' grey eyes. Only a little while before I keep my eyes straight in front of me again.
"You will all shoot in once. Recharge, and then wait for another command. Understood?" They all answered an 'understood' in union for the reply. "Now. On your position! Charge!" I watched them did their weapon. "Launch!"
