Chapter Two
It was silent for quite a while. Madeleine just stared at CJ and CJ stared at Madeleine. But finally Madeleine spoke. "Clarissa you brought the dog didn't you?". CJ just looked down at me. She mumbled slowly "Yes". After CJ said this there was tug a war. Just not with what you think. It was with me! "Mother stop your hurting Chloe!". Madeleine wouldn't let go. "Clarissa June let go of the dog now!". CJ finally got me from Madeleine after so many pulls and tugs. I was happy to be back in her arms. But then something flew past my face and hit CJ. CJ started getting dizzy and fell over on the ground. Then Madeleine grabbed me and threw me into the back of her car. I didn't like this at all. Where were we going and what happened to CJ! I barked the whole way. Until we reached a house. It smelled of dogs everywhere. Madeleine grabbed me and threw me into a cage. Then walked inside. Once we were inside Madeleine started acting very weird. Like she wasn't herself. "Oh my goodness I found this poor dog on the street and I can't take any pets because my daughter is so allergist to their fur. Could you take it for me?" Madeleine said with a sad look on her face. The lady at the desk looked at me then her smile turned to a sad frown. "Of course I'll take good care of her. Does she have a name or can I name her?". The nice lady came and took the cage from Madeleine. "Her name is Chloe my daughter named her that before I took her here". I didn't like this cage so I scratched at the bars and the lady put the cage on the floor at opened the cage door. Once the door was open I ran as far away as I could from Madeleine. I stopped when I reached the door knowing I wouldn't be able to get through. Once I was at the door I saw Trent. I barked as loud as I could and Trent came over as quickly as possible. Trent opened the door and grabbed me in his arms. He looked at Madeleine with stern eyes. "Madeleine what are you doing! This is Clarissa's dog! She loves this dog more than anything!" Trent went on and on at Madeleine and soon enough there was another car door slam and I saw CJ there.
