Chapter Twelve: The unexpected

Midnight pov

"yes im in love girls!" i could feel the butterflies in my tummy.

"is it Taki?" shadow grinned.

"yes, and you and storm knew all along didnt you!" i grinned crossing my arms.

"she did" we all laughed.

"sleepover!" Tanesha announced.

The night went on and pillowfits, romance movies and so much more it was fun.

*next day*

I entered the temple and everyone stared at me even Echo who pretended not to notice the dark figure in the corner.

"Morning midnight glad you could join us" master Rinico spoke.

My heart raced, "Taki?... You...why?" I stuttered. Why? Why is he here out of all people why him!! The one person who makes me nervous of all people. 

"oh hi midnight how is your day so far, glad to see such a beauty again" he said smiling

My face flew red, he always has that way to make me blush and it makes me go crazy yet gives me a joyful feeling inside i might've found that one true love the one for me.

"Oof Midnight your blushing" Tanisha teased giggling

"Its so cute!!!" Lynia spat out high fiving Tanisha

"oh guys grow up  she obviously likes him" Shadow added on rolling her eyes grinning.

"GUYS! common give me a break your being so unfair! I do not like Taki!, he is a friend of my fathers, who just happens to be a gentlemen" I said trying to act calm without flustering red. Didnt wanna hurt Echos feelings so i pretended not to like Taki, despite the fact the girls know i love him.

They all just looked at me with this look in their eyes, Is my face really red? theres no way? I just dont wanna hurt Eco but the fact is since he did that Echo hasn't spoken a word to me, not answering my texts!, like is he taking it all out on me for what Master Rinico did!?

"Quit looking at me like that, its true I don't like Taki. Sorry Taki no offense" I said hiding my red face.

"None taken, I don't like you either" he said grinning playing along with me "anyway I was sent to tell your mother about Skye"

"Skye?" I questioned him.excited

"your moms pregnant. She hasnt told you? Its gonna be a girl. Suprised you didnt know" Taki smiled then kissed my cheek "later beautiful"

My face turned bright red, Echo glared and turned away. "echo.." i sighed " stop doing that! I barely know you!" i sent a shadow blast at him after that sceme of his.

"oh damn..just like your dad better not get on your badside cutestuff!" he continued to flirt then leave.

"WAIT!  YOUR GETTING A BABY SISTER!" Tanisha said excited and hugged me

"Chill girly just chill." I said trying to calm Tanisha down.

"I CANT CHILL! COMMON MIDNIGHT! YOU HAVE A BABY SISTER ON THE WAY!" Tanisha kept getting happier and happier.

"oh Tanisha..Did you ever find out from Master who your mates gunna be?" Shadow asked

She froze and had a look of sadness on her face "uh not really why Shadow?" Tanisha asked

"Just wondering, I think I might've found mine same as Midnight, Right midnight?" Shadow said in a teasing voice

"SHADOW! give me a break I told you I DONT LIKE TAKI!" I yelped blusing like crazy embarrassed

"Uh Shadow?" Taki said appearing out of nowhere.

"yes Taki?" Shadow replied

"will you quit your match making jokes there making the princess angry" Taki said teasing me even more

"oh boy today just turned out very interesting very interesting" Lynia said laughing her butt off.

Everyone looked to lynia and burst out laughing.

"Taki! I am gonna hurt you!" blasting him.

"missed me" he stuck his tounge out.

"go do your mission you...you...flitrtatious fox" i yelled my face beat red.

"oh midnight its gonna be okay" shadow laughed.

"calm down..people dont need to know your a yokai." master rinico said gazing to me.

"sorry master.." i hung my head low.

"Echo...i found your soulmate if our interested" master rinico said.

Echos eyes lit up and he followed master.

I headed back to my house where i just sat on the couch and watched netflix all day.
