One shot - Reynolds

Alexander looked around. He was dating Eliza, but he had just been kissing Maria Reynolds. She was a sweet girl, and she also had a boyfriend. But he was mean. He told her if she broke up with him, he'd hurt her. So that's not happening. Nobody could know about their little 'affair'.  That's when her boyfriend, James, stopped him.
"I heard you were snogging my girl." He said, a smirk on his face. Before Alex could respond, James slapped him. "Let me cut to the point. If you want this to stay between us, I'll take 10 dollars every day." He walked away. Alex didn't even get a chance to speak. He ran to Maria.
"Did you tell James?" He yelled, unaware of the small crowd that had gathered.
Maria's face went pale. "What? Uh- no! I didn't do that I wouldn't!" She shook her head quickly. "I would never do that!"
Alex shook his head. "Well he knows!"
That's when Thomas spoke up. "Who knows what? See, as I am very popular, your business is my business. Spill the beans, kiddo."
Alex hated when Thomas called him kiddo. Just because he was short? Really?
"Nothing, Thomas. It's none of your busine-" Alex began, but was cut off.
"James knows Alex cheated on Eliza with me!" Maria blurted out. Her tan skin went slightly pale as her cheeks turned a rosy pink. "I.. I'm sorry Alex. I didn't mean.. I.." she ran away. That was the last anyone had ever heard from her. There are rumors. Some say she ran away from her family. Others say she's homeschooled now. Most just forgot about her by two days later. But not Thomas. And he was always teasing Alex about it. He had James come along, and even Burr joined in sometimes. Alex had had enough. He ran home around a week later. He was the one who wrote the school newspaper, so what better way to stop the rumors than to publish an article? (A/n I can think of a lot of things Alex. Like, idk, NOT TELLING THE ENTIRE STATE THAT YOU CHEATED ON YOUR WIFE 🙃)
He began to write. He wrote for around three hours, before his older cousin called him down for dinner.
"Hey what's going on with you Alex? You haven't come home since before lunch, kid," his cousin, Usnavi, began to speak. "You okay?"
Alex picked at his rice and beans with a fork. "If you cheated on Vanessa with, say, I don't know, Nina, and I know you wouldn't. But if you did, and let's say, Pete found out, what would you do? Oh, and Benny knows," he asked Usnavi.
"Me? I'd just let it be." He responded coolly, leaning back on his chair as if to say 'yo I'm done.' Alex sighed.
"But, like, you wouldn't want to tell anyone? Or let everyone know exactly what happened?"
Then Usnavi understood. "You cheated on Eliza? You coño! You cheated on your girlfriend! You hit rock bottom, mi primo. Imagine what your mamá would say! ¡Bestia ignorante! Vete a la mierda un cactus o algo así." Usnavi ranted.
"Don't. Mention. My. Mother." Alex growled, standing up. He pushed in his chair, turned swiftly, and walked away. (a/n that Oxford comma tho 😍)
The article was finished before midnight, and Alex published it before editing it or checking in with his best friend John. He texted Angelica.

Fuck off Alex. Eliza is crying right now. You know how dramatic she is. She's literally using her gingerbread candle to burn the tests you helped her with.
