August's POV

I'm watching TV, and I got to see my 23 old brother, Yuri, get interviewed. His performance was 2nd place. Then you see Viktor and Yuri get kicked in the side from Yurio.
My cousin and one of our closest friends were there, supporting all the competitors till its over. "Why don't you eat and rest August? You need the energy to start your training in the morning."
Of course our mom, she worries too such about me because I had a knee surgery while I was in a competition when I was young. "Alright mom. I'll be... There... In... A... Few... YES YURI STAYED IN SECOND PLACE!!" I get very excited today see my brother win medals. I just wish I did the same.

It was past midnight trying to figure out my theme, and I want it to be spiritual. Once I got onto the ice, it was cold once I was in my outfit.
After the music started to play, I let myself loose and began to skate to the rhythm of the music. I like this one song called unbreakable. {play song below}

When the song ended, my whole body was tired and numb, that I saw Yuri and Viktor come home. I wanted to yell, but my voice was raspy because I was breathing heavy. I decided to continue, but also took it easy and learned a few moves.
"August, that was amazing!" "Oh so this is your sister you talked about at one of the competitions." I waved to them and met them at edge of the rink. "How was Moscow?" "Wonderful, I think Yuri here did an amazing job."
They wouldn't stopped talking about it for a few hours. And we decided to leave. "Bye guys, see ya in the next competition!" Yuri's friend that worked there, waved at us while we go. When we  reached the house, the whole family was happy when Yuri entered. Nothing new, it always happens. "August, why don't you stay down here with us?" "I'm fine dad." I walked to my room and hid the corner, cry, write, and learn new things about ice skating competitions. "If I enter, I put my knee and myself at risk. But it will get my family's attention." My voice was filled with anger. I needed Yurio who past my brother's score. "Yuri, I'm gonna surpass you, whether you like it or not." I purchased a ticket to the last competition where if was held, and entered my name.

Early in the morning~~~~

I woke up at 2 in the morning to secretly get on the plane. Almost the whole flight everybody was asking Yuri and Viktor  for autographs and pictures, meanwhile I was near the window watching the news. With my hoodie up, I kept an eye on my brother and Viktor so I can follow them. "Hey Yuri, isn't it great to make it this far?" "Yea, I was surprised to not hear my sister say goodbye or good luck." I wanted to, but our family changed my mind, and made me do this. I just needed to find Yurio so he can teach me.

Once the plane landed, I kept pace with my brother and Viktor, then I see them walk into Yurio and his two trainers. Now's my chance to get a stubborn 15 year old, to train me. "Excuse me, I need to speak with you. And it has to deal with Yuri and Viktor. But you must pretend you don't hear me." The moment I said those two words. He froze and did what I said. Once the two left, he told his trainers, he was gonna be looking at something really quick. "Ugh hurry back quickly." "I will." He saw me hiding in the corner, I told him why, and he agreed to it. I ran with him to catch up with the trainers. The guy seemed strict and the woman a little serious. But they will get me to the top, and beat my brother. "This girl says she's gonna come to Russia, learn very tough moves, also related that Yuri, suffered a knee surgery, and wants to surpass her brother because she wants you to teach her some moves?!" "That's seems too much on her side." "I understand it may be tough but you weren't easy on Yurio but he took the challenge and passed my brother's score." The two of them were quiet and said "show us what you can do, then we'll see if your legible to be next to Yurio."
When everyone was ready, I was ready to skate and show what I've been practicing every night.

My song was "Eternal Snow." Because when I was born, it was snowing and my mom will play this song, so I can fall asleep.
"There goes a back spin. Then after her rhythm is a nice step sequence, and to end it off with a triple axel. But so far no mistakes." Once the music ended, there was a lot of cheering, and I surprised my brother when I looked into his direction.
I heard him scream, "What is she doing here?! And why is she training with Yurio and you coach?!" I'm sorry Yuri, you got the attention, I gave a big surprise to everyone at home.
When I went to the interview and scoring area, my score was a 318.46. I've gotten first place with my brother by my side in second place. "What are you doing here August. Mom and Dad would be... " "Be what Yuri, angry? Yea I know, but I'm 18, and I can choose my path, and it's skating like you. Even though I had a hard past, I'm still gonna beat you and show our family what I can do. Your 23 years old, and you still live with us. How about you live with your husband or something. And leave me be until I need your help." I got off the podium and went to my new team. Yurio, his two coaches, were now my lessons to learn off of. Yuri watched me go, and I looked back at him go to Viktor. "Once we get in the rink, you must learn new updated moves,  those are for kids, but I'm surprised it got you in first." I was happy to hear that, but it was starting to get serious.
