"What do you want Daphne?" I calmly ask. I hope Edmond's ok...
Daphne and I were pacing at each other in a circle, like lions about to clash.
"What do you think, sister?" I couldn't help, but notice. Daphne wasn't the beautiful angel I've known.(Clearly) Half of her face was burnt, wings spread out, but this time they were ebony black. The colors of the fallen.
I kept silent. She motioned closer to me. Her eyes like that of a cat, looking straight into mine.
"I could tell you fell for the vampire. Sister, I know it. You're going to end up like me. And your little vampire friend? He's going to die." I broke my expressionless face with a flinch.
"I'm never going to be like you, Daphne. You ran out of faith. I haven't." I said. Expanding my wings. She chuckled.
"That's what they all say.." I felt something crash into my back, causing me to falling forward. I could feel a jaw breaking pain explode in my body.
"Daphne...I missed you..." I said weakly. Daphne wouldn't stop laughing at me. I realized a demon crashed on me. Daphne's Spouse. He looked like a monster. Horns. Red and black all over. But I could feel my vision to blur. I won't PASS.OUT.
"Missed me?! The old Daphne is gone. She will never be back. It's been 2000 years, honey."
"I.will.never.be.like.you." I gasped for air. The demon had his hand around my neck. I could feel blood bubble up my throat.
"Castella!!" I struggled to look to the sound. Edmond standing there. Red eyes glowing. Fangs in full view. He tackled the demon, dropping me on the ground.
"...N-No...St-Stop....Edmo-...G-Get out...of here..." Daphne picked me up by my hair, and threw me to the wall of the cave. I started coughing out blood, staining my wings. Which were also bent to a painful looking angle.
"I'm not leaving you here, Castella. I finally found you! Edmond might not know it, but he will find out. I'm not going to leave you." he was standing in a distance fight the demon like there's n tomorrow.
"Cute." Daphne put her hand in front of me. Her powers still worked, but in a different way.
"S-top...STOP!!" she was sucking the life of me...literally...
"Get the hell off her, witch." Out of nowhere, Edmond was behind Daphne, snarling at her.
"How about...No" In an instant, Edmond had his fangs lodged in Daphne's throat. I could see the demon lying limp on the ground. Then Edmond screaming my name. And finally, my eyes gave in to the darkness.
