I'm sorry if it's not very good! This chapter was intense, so it was a little more difficult to keep things in line. I hope you enjoy it!

Twilight looked down the empty hall. It was silent.

Strangely silent.

She slowly stepped out into the hall. She could hear her heart racing in hears ears. She took a shaky deep breath. She wasn't ready for this...but it was time to escape.

She couldn't quit thinking about the others. Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie...she needed all of them to save Rarity. They needed to do this together. She turned around quickly, to see where Big Mac was-

He was gone.

She suddenly realized how alone she was. She would find them. She had to find them. She pushed away her feelings and turned to the endless dark hallway. And she ran. Her hooves landed silently on the cold stone floor as she sprinted for her life. She couldn't hear anything, she didn't WANT to hear anything.

They couldn't catch her. Not now. They would figure this out. She would escape, she would be free. They all would. Friendship could defeat all sorts of evil...this was no different. Even the greatest types of evil could be overthrown by love. By friends. By happiness.

But as the alicorn ran, something escaped her ears. And if she had been listening, she would have heard the panicked call from down the hall. The panicked, bloodthirsty cry. A cry of weakened evil. Unsure, but deathly.

"You may escape this prison, but you will never escape US!"

Fear was not something you could escape. It would always be there, hidden in your soul. Slowly eating you alive.

She skid around a corner, and gasped. Her scream was caught in her throat. The prince grinned.

"Trying to escape, princess?"

He popped the P in princess, making twilight stumble back. She had to run. But she felt like she couldn't move. She was petrified. All she had to do was turn around, run away...teleport, even though she wouldn't have the focus, she could always try. But no, she didn't do any of these things.

He stepped foreword. "Poor, poor Princess...why don't you come with me? You look a bit lost..."

Her mind was racing. No. She had to escape. She couldn't wait any longer. She was thinking to much. She couldn't focus on a spell. What to do, what do do, what to do-

She quickly plunged her hoof foreword, it colliding with his face, hard. He fell back, to startled to do anything. But he had a look in his eye, a look of pure rage. Twilight ran forward, onto to be met with two large doors. She fiercely tried to pull and push them open, but it was no use.

"HELP!" She screamed, her pain and worry clear in her voice. "HELP!! ANYPONY, PLEASE! HELP!"

Prince Blueblood slowly got up. "You're DEAD..."

Applejack slowly woke up. The room was silent, the colt asleep on the desk. She had been in this same room for a while, chained to this very wall. That colt, he never left the room. Always fell asleep on the desk. But her? She could never manage to even close her eyes and think, the roaring of the massive machines to loud.

Day after day, what would they do? Tests. Damn, she didn't even know what they needed this crap for. She suspected they just wanted to make her miserable, but she wouldn't't give them that pleasure. At least, she wouldn't show it...

Of course, they would probably use them for SOMETHING. Sometimes, the tests were default. But sometimes, they did terrible things. She had been feeling sicker and sicker, and the constant jolts of pain didn't help. They were slowly killing her off, even if they were to dumb to notice it yet.
