We had just finished our dinner and decided to head to Santa Monica Pier just to hang out a while. I look over to see Bella and Jesse doing their own thing so I pulled my phone out and texted her.
To Bella 🌸👑: Call me when you're ready to go
"Hey do you wanna go walk on the beach?" Corey asks as we look at the waves from the pier.
"Yeah come on," I say grabbing his hand. "Oh wait," I say as I go sit on one of the tables.
"What are you doing?" Corey asks raising his brow at me.
"I'm taking of my shoes, I don't want them full of sand, duh" I say making a face at him and he does it back. I laugh at him and get up and go towards the water. We walk silently for a couple of minutes, I cherished times like this. Moments I had with him were always special, like they were right out of a movie.
"It's beautiful out here," Corey says breaking the silence. I look up at him and nodded.
"It's amazing, It's still crazy that I'm going to be living here soon" I say.
"Yeah, you're going to do great things out here. I'm going to miss you so much, there's so many things we never did" he says looking at the sand.
"Like what?" I say with a chuckle. He turns to me with a stern face, showing me how serious he was being.
"A lot of stuff, I can never spend enough time with you.. now you're going to be on the other side of the country. I never got my chance" he says as he stops walking.
"Chance for what?" I ask. As soon as I finished my sentence I feel his arms snake around my hips as he pulls me in tight. He presses his forehead to mine as I get lost in the moment.
"This." He whispers as he presses his lips to mine. It took me a second to realise it was actually happening, I immediately drop my shoes on to the sand and wrap my arms around his neck. This was so out of the blue but it felt so.. right. We finally pull away and I let out a breathless 'wow'. "You don't know how long I've wanted to do that. I just never got the chance" he says still holding my face.
"What was that for?" I say. It was so sudden I just wanted to know what was behind it.
"Spending all this time with you made me remember when I fell for you. I mean yeah I've known you all my life but catching feelings for you scared the shit out of me. You're the best thing that's happened to me, I knew if I confessed to you I'd mess it up some how. Now you're going to leave soon and I don't know when I'll see you after that.. I couldn't let you get away like that." He says sitting on the sand. I sit down next to him and not knowing what to say I kiss his cheek.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I say a little curious.
"When I had finally gained the confidence you were already talking to Johnny, so I just hid my feelings." He says shrugging "I knew you were happy with him, all I ever want for you is to be happy." I didn't say anything I just laid my head on his shoulder and sat there watching the waves. He places his hand on my thigh and looks at me "this doesn't have to mean anything if you don't want it to, I just couldn't resist.. I had to do it"
"I'd be lying if I said I never had feelings for you, I just never thought you seen me the same way." I say looking out into the ocean. We sat there for what felt like forever, til I speak up "So what do we do?"
"Well that's up to you" he says. I look at him, and I didn't really know what to say.
"Well, I'm moving away in less then a month, and you'll have baseball to focus on.. is a long distance relationship really what you need right now?" I say, the last thing I wanted to do was stress him out. I always want what's best for him, he meant everything to me.
"Well, I can spend every second I get with you til you leave, and after that.. I'm not sure. I don't even know where I'll be after the draft. Even so I'd try my hardest to visit you every month, I can't go that long without you" he says, "How about we just see where it goes?"
"Well in that case, I won't leave til softball training starts." I say. He turns and shines his million dollar smile. "We can talk about this back at home?"
"Only if I get to kiss you again." He says with a smirk. Just then I pulled him in for another kiss.
"Deal." I say winking as I get up. He gets up and follows me as I walk back to the pier, I didn't realize how far we had wondered off. We walked back to the pier hand in hand, maybe this trip was for a reaso. I'm so glad he came. I look over at Corey and smile. I don't know what I did to have this boy in my life but I was so grateful that I did. In the middle of my thoughts i hear my phone begin to ring.
A: Hello? B: Hey were just about ready to leave it's already gunna be 1 A: Okay, were already walking back, be there in a couple minutes. B: Alright, meet us at the car. A: Will do, bye.
"Bella?" Corey asks.
"Yeah they're heading back to the car, I told her were on our way. She said it's already gunna 1, but it doesn't even feel like it" I say shaking my head.
"Time flies when you're having fun," Corey says with a smirk. I laugh at him and we continue walking.
"You're right about that Seager, how bout a piggy back ride tho, I'm beat." I say raising my hands like a five year old. He comes over and squats down allowing me to jump on his back.

"Anything for you, beautiful" he says as he walks up the beach. I kiss his cheek and we head to car. No matter how quick this all seemed it all felt like it was meant to be.
