Corey's POV
I knew this was our last week together, it was the end of June and Dre has to report for training in a week. My father had got in contact with the Dodgers and agreed to have me sign my contact while we were down there. We were supposed to leave tomorrow at 6 and we were all going to stay in the city a while. Me, my mom, my dad, and Andrea were all going to the meeting, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous.

I mean, being signed was the first step, who knew how long it would be before I got to the Majors. I'm just hoping I get there fast, I was still going to be pretty far from her and I didn't know how I would manage this. I would be in Michigan and she'd be in California. But the harder I worked the faster I could prove myself and be called up to LA.

Right now I was packing my things to go to LA but I heard my phone ring

C: Hey beautiful, what's up?
A: Hey babe, I was wondering if you wanna go to Walmart with me, I have to go pick up some things and I didn't wanna go by myself.
C: Of course, I'll be at your house in a little. Bye, babe.

I put my shoes on and grabbed my keys as I headed out the door. She only lived about 10 minutes away but I decided to stop at Starbucks and pick up her favorite drink.

"Hi, what can I get you?" the worker smiles.

"Umm, let me get a venti carmel frappuccino with extra carmel and a venti iced coffee with carmel drizzle." I say as I pull my wallet out of my pocket.

"10.55 please.. do I know you from somewhere?" She says raising her eyebrows.

"I'm sorry, I don't think so" I say embarrassed. I hand her the money and put my wallet away.

"You're Corey, Madisyn's boyfriend" she says smiling. I feel myself turn red.

"Oh um, I uh," I stutter, "We broke up about 4 months ago,"

"Oh I'm sorry, she didn't tell me, I'm her cousin, we met at Madisyn's party. Crystal, nice to see you again," she said smiling, "Well I better get you those drinks." I smile and nodded, I walked to a table and sat as I waited for the drinks.

"Venti carmel frappuccino with extra carmel and a venti iced coffee with carmel drizzle." I get up and walked to the counter. I grabbed the drinks and walked to the truck as I noticed writing on my frappuccino. I swear people associated with Mady are gunna be the death of me, I hate that she doesn't tell people. I pulled up to Andrea's house and knock on the door.

"Oh Corey, it's so nice to see you honey," Jen says as she opens the door as she pulls me into a hug, "Congratulations!"

"Hi Mrs.Torres, it's nice to see you again. Thank you so much," I say hugging her back.

"Congrats, son," Andrea's stepdad says as he shakes my hand.

"Oh thank you, sir," I say smiling.

"Call me, Anthony. She's upstairs you can go up there if you'd like." He says, I nod and smile as I head up to her room. I knock on the door, and wait for her to open up.

"Hey beautiful, wow your rooms a mess," I say laughing.

"Hey, shut up I'm packing," she laughs as she kisses me. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah, sorry if I took long, I stopped at Starbucks. I got you're iced coffee, but I left it in the car." I say opening the door for her.

"Aww thank you baby," she says kissing my check as she walked out. She looked so cute, and she never even has to try. We walked out of the house and to the car. "Ooh can I have some of your frappuccino?"

"Yeah go ahead babe," I say as I start the car. We walk into Walmart and Dre grabs my hand and I follow her through the store.

"Okay so I got my shampoo, conditioner, razors, lotion, and my face wash. All I need is a few things from the makeup section. I'm sorry for dragging you around babe." She says as we walk through the store.

"It's fine, beautiful. I love spending time with you, no matter what it is" I say smiling. Once we finished up our shopping we headed back to her house.

"You sure you don't want to sleep over?" she says as she unbuckled her seat belt.

"I still have to finish packing and so do tou," I say as I get out of the truck and grab her things, "Plus you should get some rest we have a long flight tomorrow."

"Yeah, I know. I just want thought I'd try to keep you with me, but I guess I'll see you tomorrow," she says opening the door. We walked up to her room and I put her bags on her bed. "I never thought I'd say this but I'm gunna miss this place," she says starring out her window, I smile and walk over to her.

"We've been here all our lives, of course were gunna get homesick. But now we're gunna be in LA together," I say. I wrapped my arms around her waist to comfort her.

"Eventually," she says, "I just wish you'd be with me, I don't like the distance. I won't be able to see you whenever I want, I'm gunna miss you." We state out the window and I hear her sniffle.

"Hey look at me," I say spinning her around to face me. "I'll be with you as soon as possible, I'll work hard so I can get moved up in the system. Once I get through the system in Michigan I'll be with you in California. I'll only be an hour and half away once I get there. I'll visit you when I can. We'll make this work, I promise babe. I love you so much Dre." I lean down and kiss her.

"I love you too Corey," she says smiling.

"I'm gunna go home and finish packing, I'll be back in an hour," I chuckle as I see her smile. "And then tomorrow, well be in LA." I smile as I kiss her once more and walk out the door.
