The officer that told Newt that he was going to help him and Thomas had just arrived once again to talk to Newt. Newt was walking in the hall with Thomas their hands intertwined. Thomas has gotten a bit better staying distant from almost everyone. Newt stopped once seeing the officer his eyes wide. The officer turned looking at him. "Newt..." He whispered.
Thomas looked at Newt then the officer hiding behind Newt quickly frowning. Newt sighed. "Officer..." "Newt, I'm here to get you out of here." Newt frowned. "Just me or... Me and Thomas?" The officer sighed frowning. "Just you, Newt." Thomas froze gulping. "N-No..." He stepped back. "You told me he was going to get both of us out!" Newt turned around looking at him. "Tommy... He told me he was going to get us both... I promise he did!" Thomas shook his head taking off running. "TOMMY!" Newt yelled. He faced the officer. "Tell me once you can get us both out!" He took off to go look for Thomas.
Thomas was in his room door locked sobbing. There was banging at the door. "THOMAS OPEN UP PLEASE!" He whimpered. "G-Go away..." He whispered. The officer had followed Newt. Newt turned around glaring. "This is your fault! You promised!" He had tears in his eyes. "I know... I can't take you both out at the same time..." Newt took a deep breath. "Take him. I don't want him here anymore... Take care of him, feed him, make sure he sleeps... I... Need to know your name..." The officer sighed. "It's Nathan." "Alright, Nathan promise me you'll take care of him." Nate sighed heavily. "I promise. I'll come back for you." Newt shook his head. "I'll be out in two days don't worry about it." He smiled sadly. Nate nodded. "I'll take him today." Newt nodded. "Now get him out!" Nathan banged on the door. "Thomas! I'm getting you out of here come on out!"
Thomas slightly opened the door looking at Nathan frowning. "R-Really?" He sniffled glancing at Newt. "Is he coming...?" Newt shook his head. "No but... I'll be out in two days... I'll be with you soon just do as he says..." Thomas glared slamming the door shut. Newt flinched frowning. "I don't know what to do now, Nathan... I'm sorry." He sighed walking away head lowered. Nathan frowned glancing at the door before he walked off to leave.
Thomas decided to never leave. He trusted Newt but things changed. Two days passed and Newt had left. He tried visiting but Thomas didn't say anything or move all there was is tears and the look in his eyes showed he was lonely. Newt remember seeing him for the first time how he looked lonely.
Thomas finally left the room hugging his small skinny frame staring at the ground sighing. On that day Newt came to visit which he bumped into Thomas. "Watch it!" Thomas whispered/yelled continuing to walk since he didn't know it was Newt. Newt's eyes were wide watching Thomas. He wanted to cry seeing how skinny he was. "T-Tommy..." He had tear in his eyes. Thomas stopped in his tracks looking back at him frowning. His eyes went wide seeing tears stream down Newt's cheeks. "Please don't cry..." Newt sniffled. "Y-You haven't ate anything... Y-You h-haven't slept..." Thomas frowned looking down and quickly took off running. "Tommy!" He sighed heavily and soon left. He couldn't do anything. He tried every time he came but... Things changed.
