It was the most depressing day of school in her entire life.

As Lauren walked down the crowded hallway of Midtown High, she noticed everyone was looking at her with a look of sympathy.. Every. Single. Person.

"Hey, sorry about you're uncle."

"He's in a better place now."

"It'll all get better as time goes on."

She couldn't stand it anymore. Lauren knew her classmates meant well, but all they were doing was reminding her of something she wished to forget about.

"Hey, Laur." said a familiar voice. She turned around to see Lucy standing there, looking at her with that same sympathetic look. "How are you?"

"I'm... I'm fine." She replied.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah... I mean... I don't know." She felt the tears welling up in her eyes. Lauren walked over to het and hugged her. She hugged her back and let herself cry.

"I'm j-just gonna m-miss him s-so much!" She stuttered.

"I know, Laur. Just remember, he loved you. Aunt Clara loves you. Normani and I love you. You're not alone here."

Lauren sniffled and wiped her nose. "Thank you, Camila" She said.

"No problem, Tiger." she replied. She then kissed her on the cheek. "Stay strong for us all." Then she walked away. Lauren smiled.

I'm so lucky to have her as a friend.

She put her books in her locker, and went to walk to class. "Hey, Jauregui."

Lauren stopped in her tracks. She started shaking her head and said, "No, no, no, no, no. Not now, Austin."

"C'mon, Jauregui, I need to talk to you."

"Well I don't need to talk to you." Lauren countered.

Austin ran up to Lauren and put his hand on her shoulder. "Jauregui, stop."
