Snowkit woke up to Thunderkit and Rainkit fighting over a mouse. She had wanted to sleep later than usual,but the toms again woke her before dawn. How she knew? She looked outside,and although it was cloudy, the sky was as dark as thunderkit's black ear.
Walking by her (annoying,in her opinion)brothers,she stole the mouse.
Very suddenly,she saw a quick flash and a very loud boom! Snowkit jumped as the lightning and thunder danced in the sky. Thunderkit used the diversion to steal the mouse back,and whispered in Rainkit's ear. Thunderkit opened his mouth to speak,"we will give back the mouse if you go to the center of the camp." Snowkit hated that they took the mouse,but she realized the quicker she went out and back in,the quicker she got her mouse.
Snowkit left the nursery and ran to the middle of the camp.
As if starclan had been angered, a very bright light reached down and hit the four month old kit in a painful flash to eyes and skin.
The last thing the white kitten saw was an orange tabby with a black ear and a blue-grey tom looking quite guilty at having injured their sister,as they called to their mother.
