The Broken Soul

CH.5

Mystery's P.O.V

       I didn't think, I pushed sans out of the way and the spear ended up in my shoulder. Blood dripped to the ground, I took the spear out of my arm and it vanished. I look up to see a white heart that had cracks all over, looking like it would shatter at the most gentlest of touch.

      I gently touched it and pain shot through my entire body, I screamed in pain and Sans was immediately by my side shocked to see the cracked broken looking heart. 

      "Whoa kid, you must have been through hell to have so many cracks like that." He said still staring at the broken heart, The wound on my arm begins to slowly stitch itself together. As the wound healed, a crack formed on the heart. I felt my eyes dull even more if it was even possible, my eyes didn't shine or had any light for years. Sans must have noticed though, his eye had a flash of concern.

       "You alright kid?" he asked, I force an unnatural smile and giggle my sanity was tossed out the window and shattered. My ears went down and out came the moon, it was my darkest part. Mainly it only comes out after every wound inflicted on me, I have no idea why she came out so late.

        "Oh sans I'm just PEACHY" she said sarcastically, she grinned painfully wide. No STOP DONT HURT HIM HE DIDN'T HURT ME!!!!! I scream, but as always she ignored me.

        "SaNs RuN!!!" I sreamed, he was confused until he saw a knife in her hands. I assumed she controlled my body, at some point and grabbed a knife off the wall full of weapons. He tried to run but la Luna threw the knife at him, luckily it grazed his skull and it got stuck in the rocky wall. La Luna laughed and slowly began walking, back to the lab where sans was heading.

Sans's P.O.V

    I ran I don't know what happened to mystery she changed after she got hit with undyn's spear, I have to warn the boss and Alphys. Sudenly a portal appears in front of me, I stop and saw ink, error and classic on the other side. Ink pulls me in and mystery jumps in before it closes, she hit her head on the white ground and it knocked her out.

   Ink, error and classic are shocked, they stare at her like she was going to jump up and stab them at any moment.

      "This is mystery." I say rubbing the back of my skull, I wince as I felt a small cut on the top of my skull. I glance around and saw the other sans's, some were shocked others were confused and the rest looked intrigued.

       She groans and rubs her head.

      "Damnit la Luna I told you to only come out at night." she muttered, then a different voice spoke it was like an echo.

       "You were hurt, what was I going to do? I'm not one to sit by while you get hurt like-" the voice was cut off.

   "You promised NEVER to talk about that again." mystery hissed. She looked around to see me and the other sans's, she wiped her eyes.

     "I better be dreaming." she muttered.

Mystery's P.O.V

       ok so this place is white and their looked to be tons of sans's in the room staring at me like they never seen a fox hybrid before. Of course they didn't because I'm the last one created by my mad scientist parents, I am never returning.

        "Ok what just happened? Who's La Luna? Who are you?" the one in a blue jacket asked, they don't know.

         "Names mystery and as you can see I'm a fox hybrid, what you witnessed was me basically talking to myself but at the same time not. La Luna is my other half, or as I call her my protector she comes out at night or when I'm hurt." I explained standing up, they finally noticed my ears and fox tail.

        Suddely blue strings wrap around me and on instinct the white heart from earlier appeared, I grabbed a small knife from my boot and cut the strings. I was panicking I didn't know where the strings were coming from, I heard deep chuckling I looked and saw one with errors.

         "What an interesting soul you have, mystery mind if me and science sans experiment on it?" he asked grinning wide, I froze and flashbacks from all the tests they did flashed in front of my eyes. The heart or soul as he put it, had another crack appearing this one was down the middle. My heart races at the thought of being experimented on, not again NOT AGAIN!

       "I do mind actually, I will not be a lab rat again, I'd kill myself before that happens again." I hiss, my ears flatten and the heart vanished again. They were shocked, except for the sans in the leather jacket.

        "A lab rat again huh? You were tested on before doll?" a sans with a ciggarette asked, I nodded.

        "If that was my soul just now how do you think I got thoes cracks?" I asked dully, "You can thank my parents for them, heh I was forced to be this fox hybrid for their own curious minds. I wanted to DIE for years, but being the chicken I am and because of la Luna I couldn't do it I waited for them to poison me or something. I figured jumping would be fine, so I did but I didn't DIE like I wanted I woke up." I was cold with each word I said, I didn't cry even if I wanted to I couldn't cry. They were all shocked including sans with the leather jacket, I don't blame them.

     One in a blue scarf ran toward me and hugged me, blue tears running down his face. On impulse I flinched and stiffened, he just hugged me. I slowly hugged back, this was new I've never experienced a gental thing such as a hug. I was always treated like an animal that didn't deserve love, a freak, a monster.

      This hug was the one that made me feel, something I haven't felt before. I assumed it was what humans named joy, or happiness. Something they thought I would never experience, they were all WRONG!
