Training. This was an exercise all of the trainees do to see how well they did and how skilled they are. You saw a lot of well trained trainees and one of those people who were skilled were you. You were like Mikasa but you were more serious about finishing the training to get to graduation so you could choose the option you wanted. You knew that most of the people you thought were most skilled would be in the top 10. Shardis was the one who trained all of you and he was the one who was the one who kept score during training.
This training was for your combat skills and everyone had to attack their partner with a wooden knife. You were partnered up with Jaeger. He was the first one to be the attacker. You prepared to knock him over to defend yourself.
"Oof! Ah, nice. now it's your turn to be the bad guy, (f/n). I don't even know why we have to do this training though, trying this with titans is guaranteed to lead you to your death." Eren said.
"Ok, sure. I don't get why we have to do this for training either." you said. He handed you the knife. Both of you got into position. You got ready... Now you ran at him with the knife. Eren tried to flip you but you escaped the attack and pointed the wooden knife at his heart and then he tried to block the attack. Then he got his chance to knock you over backwards and you landed on your back, knife still at hand. You close your eyes and prepared for your back to hit the ground. You then open your eyes to see that Eren is waiting for you to get up with him holding his hand out to help you stand. You looked at his turquoise eyes, you felt your heart pace quicken a bit. You take Eren's hand and he helps you stand up. After training with him you switched partners with Mikasa. Mikasa's partner was Jean.
"Hey." Jean said.
"Hey." you said back. You were starting as the bad guy. You prepared to attack Jean with the wooden knife. You charged at him and your movements were quick and you already had the knife at his neck and he was trying to move back while you were pushing the knife closer. Then he lost his balance and tripped. You didn't trip with Jean, you found this the perfect opportunity to win. An you went down and pointed the knife at his heart like you did to Eren but Jean was defenseless. You won. You stood up and offered your hand to Jean. He took your hand to help himself get up. You handed the knife over to him and got into position.
"Ready? I don't want you to get hurt or anything." Jean asked. Jean was taller than you, you know this without trying because you were shorter than Eren by 2 centimeters.
"Yeah, I'm sure. I can defend myself." you said. 'I'm not weak. Come at me!' you thought to yourself.
"Ok, if you say so." Jean said. He than charged at you and tried to attack you but he wasn't as fast as you were when you attacked him. You then got the match over with and put your hand on his neck and the other on his back and one of your legs behind one of his. With one swift move you made him fall over on his back, you were still standing. again you helped him get back up, Jean was still holding the knife.
"It's not over until I drop the knife, (f/n)" Jean said. You grinned a small grin and came at him again flipping him backwards again but with a stronger force than last time. Jean didn't have a lot of time to react so he dropped the knife to protect his head from hitting the ground.
"Now it's over." you said to Jean. He opened his eyes and saw that he dropped the knife because he tried to protect himself from the ground.
"Ugh, over already. I never even won" Jean said. He then went somewhere else to slack off to.
~Time skip~
Training was over and everyone looked tired. You went to go eat dinner and sat down with Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Sasha. Jean sat with Marco at another table next to yours. You see Eren looking at Jean when He started talking about how he was going to live comfortably inside wall Sina.
"Is living inside the inner walls really that comfortable to you?" Eren asked Jean.
"Hm?", Jean noticed Eren ask.
"This place was considered to be part of the inner part of the walls 5 years ago." Eren added.
"What's your problem? Are you trying to say something?" Jean asked.
"Jean, I think you are comfortable anywhere you go." Eren said. You then herd snickering.
"Grrr, why you little-" Jean said.
"Don't you think that it's weird that we are learning so much and making our skills to kill the titans better just to find a way to stay away from them?" Eren questioned Jean.
"Why are you only bringing that up now? I mean to make sure of my own safety, I think this insane Idea should change." Jean asked.
"YOU IDIOTIC COWARD!" Eren yelled.
"SHUT UP! AS IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO FIGHT THE TITANS!" Jean yelled back.
"Stop it, Both of you!" Armin said to them. You then stand up and walk over to them.
"Stop all of your fighting. If both of you want to go to a different place than others than just do it, idiots." You say. You grab one of each of the two's hands and twist them to when it looks painful to even watch them."
"Urk!" Eren and Jean both say at the same time.
"Make sure when both of you fight you don't get Shardis to ever come here with the racket both of you are causing. Sit down." You say, after that you let their arms go. All of you go back to your seat.
"Sorry about what I had to do there Mikasa." you say to her.
"It's fine but make sure to just hit Jean next time." She says.
"Yeah, sure." you reply. Just then Shardis comes in.
"I heard a racket coming from here and I just thought I should check it out." Shardis says.
"I heard a fart come from Sasha!" Mikasa said. 'Hehe, nice save Mikasa!' You thought.
"You again?" Shardis asked. "...Oh well fine." Then he left.
"Nice save Mikasa!" you said.
