Simon and I had finished our breakfast. He did the dishes as I cleaned the counter. After my one last swipe, my phone suddenly rang.

"Alex?" Simon said from my behind, peeking at the caller ID on my phone.

"Ugh." I rolled my eyes before I hit the green button.

"Hello Alex... Uhm, yeah... I'm doing great... You can't make it here till new year?" My heart suddenly skips a bit when Simon plunged his face on my neck.
