Chapter 4: Reunited

Rockys POV

I felt my heart stop for one second when I heard that name. I could barely speak, could it really be him. I don't remember how he looked because we were separated. I could only stutter.

"S-Stu I-Is that R-Really Y-You?"

"Rocky its me your brother"

I quickly ran up to him and hugged him tightly. Questions roamed my head like How did you get here? How were you captured? How long have you been here? But none of those questions came out. I just squeezed him tightly until he told me to let go. Tears formed in my eyes because I haven't seen Stu for many years. 

"I know you must be wondering how i got here"

"Yeah how did you?"

Stu Replied, "When we were younger I went out to retrieve some food for us tonight. When I was in an alleyway, That grumpy old man captured me with his big net and brought me into his truck. He then proceeded to throw me into a cage and lock it. Then, he just drove off to this pound."

Rocky Looked at Stu, "I thought you left me to starve"

"I would never do that Rocky... So how did you get here?"

Rocky gave a sigh and replied calmly, "I was in an alleyway as well, but I heard a bark and someone in trouble, so I ran to the scene and I saw that same grumpy old man trying to capture a young pup. So, I attacked the man and ran with the pup trying to escape. The old man didn't give up, instead he chased us down. I got captured, but the young pup survived and was okay."

Stu replied, "Wow seems serious and dangerous,"

I was honestly just glad to be reunited with my brother. Until the door of the Pound swung open. We all looked, we saw a young boy not older than 10 years old with three pups. The same two pups from that big building. The Dalmatian and the cute German Shepard. Then, I saw Tiny!! He actually came back for me. A smile formed on my face saying were saved! The young boy came walking towards us and our cage. The boy looked at me and I licked his face. The boy then said, "This pup for sure" The old grumpy man said, "Alright pay up, he's $100" The boy took out his wallet, but before he gave the grumpy man his money, I said, "I'm not leaving without my brother." The boy looked at Stu and noticed that I wouldn't leave without him. So, he bought both of us. I was so happy with glee. He held me and Stu close knowing we are gonna be one big happy family. But, the phrase that scared me came from the Owner.

He said, "Alright who ever been here for over a month is time to be executed."

I gulped hard at the thought of some of the pups being killed, it brought tears into my eyes not letting them see the open world for themselves, the thing that killed me the most was when they picked up Doug..... then the door slammed shut.
