As things went on throughout the night, Luke started acting different. Like he was changing right in front of me and nothing I could do. At first, he was just being quite throughout the car ride. Not even speaking a word to me, or anyone I should say. He had his headphones in his ears the whole car ride, which made me question if he was really alright.
When we got to the venue, Luke walked in still with his headphones in his ears. Leaving the boys and I with the equipment to unload. I watched him as walked inside, something inside of me knew that something was really wrong with him.
"I'll be right back." I said, making my way inside the place.
"Leaving us with all of this sh-" Michael started to say before Ashton hit him on his shoulder.
Michael left it alone and started taking the stuff out of the back of the car. I walked inside and noticed that the place was packed. Couldn't find Luke anywhere. Needed to find him now, when I did though, he was at the bar of the venue talking to some other guy. Jealousy grew over, didn't noticed that I was already half way through the venue and closer to them. I was just ten steps away before Luke looked at me and looked back at the guy.
"We need to talk." I said, when I reached them leaning towards his ear.
Luke pulled his hand away from me giving me a pair of mean eyes. With a puzzled looked, I grabbed his hand and pulled him off the chair. "We're talking now." I said, luring him to the upstairs loft.
Luke kept trying to get out of my grip as we were going to the room upstairs. He was obviously upset about something and I need to get to the bottom of this now. When we got to the room, I closed the door behind us and looked at him with a confused look on my face.
"What the hell is wrong with you? You've been acting weird since we got in the car, I've noticed that you were not yourself. And now you're flirting with someone that you don't even know." I said, walking closer to him.
He looked at me with a mean look on his face, arms crossed and not even looked at me every once in a while. "Look at me, Luke." I said, grabbing his face and looking in his eyes. "What's the matter?" I said, calmly now.
Still nothing coming out of his mouth. Tears were forming in his eyes. I pulled in closer to me, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and his around my waist. As he was crying on my shoulder, I could hear my phone vibrating.
"You should probably get that." Luke said, pushing me off of him and whipping away tears from his face.
Michael was texting me.
Michael:
Come on dude, we're done setting up. Time to get this show started.
A sigh escaped my lips and looked up at Luke. "Is it time for the show to start?" Luke asked, sniffling a bit.
"Yeah, but we're still gonna have this conversation after the show. You're gonna tell me what's wrong." I said sternly, walking out of the room leaving Luke behind.
The show was over, I kept looking over at Luke the whole entire time and he never left the upstairs room. I could see him looking through the window upstairs looking at me. Curiosity was lingering over me about him, this was something about it that was just sending me the wrong vibes about all of this. I knew something was wrong with Luke, he wasn't telling me about anything.
I helped the boys put in all of the stuff in the truck and Luke was the last one to walk out of the building. "Did you enjoy the show?" Ashton asked, closing the back of the truck.
"I enjoyed it. I can't see why no one is signing you guys now." Luke said, chuckling a bit.
I didn't say anything but got in the truck and waited to go home. The car ride was quiet between Luke and I. There was really nothing to say to Luke when he don't want anyone to help him. I kept on looking at him in the mirror and he had headphones in his ears, as if he was blocking out the world.
I could feel Michaels eyes set on me, I looked back at him with a confused look on my face. "What?" I questioned.
"What's wrong with him?" Michael mouthed, leaning his head towards Luke.
I only shrugged my shoulders as Ashton was pulling in my driveway. Luke and I got out and started making out way in the house. Luke was making his way up the stairs, still ignoring me.
"Luke, we're not done talking." I said, following him.
"What is there to talk about?" he asked, taking his headphones out of his ears turning to me.
"The way you've been acting today is worrying me," I started to say.
"Like how, Calum?" Luke asked, rolling his eyes.
"You being quiet throughout the car ride, you flirting with another guy at the venue," I explained getting closer to him. "Are you falling out of love with me?" I questioned.
"Whats going on here?" I hear my mom say.
"Are you?" I asked, getting louder ignoring what my mum was saying.
"Calum," Luke started to say, getting teary eyed.
"Are you or are you not in love with me?" I yelled, getting more in his face.
Everyone was quiet, my breathing became more heavy as the anger was consuming every little bit of me. Luke was just looking at me with tears rolling down his face. "I'm sorry, Calum." He said, breathing irregular.
"I want you out of my house." I murmured, not even looking at him.
"Calum, please," He started to say.
"Get the fuck out of my house." I interrupted, pointing to the door.
More tears were flowing he went to my room, probably to grab his keys. Not to long after, he walked out of my room and out of the house. I watched him leave, slumping on one of the steps with tears forming in my eyes. Mum was looking with me with a mixture of confusion and sympathy. She came up to me wrapping one arm around me. Letting my head and tears fall on her shoulder.
"You don't have to talk about it now. I can just tell you one thing, Calum, I can tell that you were hurt. I just hope you two can work things out. If you want to move on, that's your decision, I can tell that you love him. I just want you to be happy and make the right decision out of this." Mum said, rubbing my shoulder with one hand and rubbing my back with the other.
After that, it was just pure silence but my sniffling and crying. I seriously have no words for how tonight ended up. I just hope for better nights than tonight.
