Esmeralda was getting ready in her room with Rebekah. After scouring her closet for a dress for Rebekah they finally picked the perfect one. Rebekah picked a dark green, one shoulder dress whereas Esmeralda picked a yellow dress.Ella had been quiet since William's comment. Though he didn't know how what he said was so wrong. He didn't understand her anger. They had been friends for years and when she spoke of her mother, which wasn't often, it was always loving words. From the stories she would tell, he gathered that they were very close as she grew up. Esmeralda looked to her mother for guidance and approval in life. William just didn't get the sudden change. Her mother had did by things, yes, but she was still her mother.
Once the girls were ready, Ella sent Rebekah ahead to the ball. Ella needed a moment to gather her thoughts. She wasn't mad at Will, she could never be mad at him.
So she stood there, in her room, in front of her mirror, assessing herself. With a final sigh, she turned away ready to face the world. A figure turned off her closet lights and walked to her.
"I apologize. My aim was not to upset you." Williams words were true and sincere.
"I know, and I'm sorry I snapped at you. It was never your fault. You did absolutely nothing wrong." Ella looked up at him with a soft smile.
Her life had never been easy but William had always been there for her when she needed him most. This wasn't uncommon for the pair, to take their anger out on the other. And each time they'd end the same.
They both took slow, deliberate steps towards each other before meet with a hug. The hug was longing but in an odd sense, fulfilling. Unlike any normal friendship it lasted a bit to long. Neither was willing to let go of the other. 99% of the time the sexual tension in the room was bearable, but for that 1% it became to much and both parties could act irrationally. On days like this, they would always lean on that one percent of unfulfilled desire.
William pulled slightly from the hug and pulled Esmeralda in for a passionate kiss. Irrational indeed. Somewhere in Ella's mind she knew it was wrong to feel this way about William but as of late, she couldn't help it.
Once Ella pulled away, she rested her head on William's chest, content in that moment. As she rested, William laughed.
"Love, we're going to be late if we stand here any longer." He dazzling blue eyes gazed into her own powdered blue eyes.
He released her slowly before walking to her door. Ella just watched him stop at the doorway trying to process what just happened. A soft chuckle fell from his perfect lips as he watched her dazed expression.
"Come now darling, we wouldn't want to disappoint your family." William said with an ever present smirk on his face.
Ella shook her head, smiling as she made her way to him, "What are we, married now?" She joked as her hand intertwined with his own outstretched one.
A sly smile graced his chiseled features, "If you wish." Came his dashing reply.
The tinted pink blush that spread across Esmeralda's face was hidden slightly as she turned away to compose herself. The jester didn't go unnoticed by William as they continued to walk through her second floor.
Esmeralda's house was big however not too flashy. She was a more modern person when it came to design. Though she loves her antiques and old fashion woods, there was something about the marble, white, off white patterns that she just can't get enough of, befitting her home's design perfectly. Along with any other marble encrusted house, she had a grand staircase that fell to the left wall separating her living room from the front of the house. Of course a few feet in front of the staircase there was an archway that led into the living room. Off to the right was a hall that led to her open dinning room and kitchen.
