"Come, Finn, we have much to catch-up on." Ella grabbed a hold of Finn's hand and began to ascend the stairs.

Niklaus looked towards his older sister, confusion sweeping across his handsome features.

"Where do you think your going?" Nik asked.

Ella stopped in the middle of the stairs and turned towards her siblings, "I'm going to find my twin a room. Then we are going to have a talk." She smiled slightly at her siblings. "Don't worry, you'll all get a turn."

A hint of fear appeared on all of their faces. They all felt guilty for leaving Finn in his coffin for 900 years. Esmeralda was like a mother to them all when Ester wasn't. She was the eldest in the family. Where Finn was quiet, Ella was loud and outgoing.

"Is anyone else worried?" Rebekah asked her siblings as Esther disappeared upstairs. "I mean, we did leave her twin in a box for 900 years."

"Don't be daft, little sister." Kol's voice rang through the silence. "If she wanted too we'd be dead by now."

Rebekah calmed slightly before going to change her clothes. Nik disappeared down the hallway towards his art room. Kol went to find a room for himself and Elijah went into the living room for a drink.

Ella sat on the bed in Finn's room. She was waiting for him to get out the bathroom so she could cut his hair. After picking out an outfit for him to wear he withdrew into the bathroom.

"Hurry up Finn. I'm not getting any younger out here." Her British accent floated through the room.

"The clothes are strange in this time." Finn commented as he walked out in sweatpants and a plain tee shirt.

"Yes, well, it is the 21st century brother. You've missed quite a lot and for that I am sorry." Ella stood up walking towards her brother as he stood in the bathroom doorway.

"You have no reason to apologize to me sister." His hands cupped her face, "I know, if it was up to you, I would have been freed a long time ago."

She laughed lightly leaning into his left hand, "If this is your idea of a pep talk, you suck at it."

His face twisted in confusion, "I do not understand."

Ella only shook her head with a bright smile on her face. "Don't ask."

As quickly as the smile came it was gone and tears welled in her eyes.

"What is it sister?"

"I really am sorry. I tried many many times to free you from that coffin." A dry laugh exploded from her lips. "You know, I have all this power and it couldn't do the simplest of things. I failed you..."

Finn wiped away the few tears that slid down her face. He did not like his sister upset. She was the rock in the family. The content. Esmeralda was never a sad child. Being their fathers favorite and the oldest gave her some leeway as they grew up.

"Esmeralda, I do not blame you for my time lost. I am not mad at you. I could never be mad at you." He brought her in for a tight hug as his accent wrapped her in as well. "You have not failed me, Esse."

Ella pulled out of the hug wiping away the remnants of her tears. She didn't like crying because she felt it was a sign of weakness and she did not like looking weak.

Letting a smile grace her face she pulled her brother back to the bathroom, "Let's cut your hair."

Ella and Finn made small talk, mostly Ella explaining the 21st century to Finn as she cut his hair. Ella was just happy to have her twin brother back after such a long time. Ella was sitting on the marble counter tops explaining reality TV when she heard Rebekah come in.
