Chapter 3

Fluff chapter! But has lots of cursing...

     "Can't catch me!" I yell as we run up the street to my house. Josh was fast, I have to admit, but not as fast as me. No one was as fast as me, or at least not that I knew of.
     I was one of the star players on the football team at school, but I never talked to any of the other guys. Well, at least not many. There were a select few who at least made an effort to try to talk to me.
Admitting that I was alone was one of the worst parts. I had been alone since I was about 12. They just shrugged it off and became some of the greatest friends I ever had.
JJ has always been the loud one, Tobi the gentle one, Harry the crazy one, Ethan just laughs all the time, and Vikk is the sweet one. But none of them are my type. And yes to conclude your thoughts, I'm gay.
They have always been supportive of me, half of them being bi and the other half being gay. In fact, Vikk has a boyfriend currently, but I have never caught his name. All I know is that he apparently has the most amazing blue eyes ever, or so Vikk says.
     Anyways, they are amazing guys nonetheless and am very glad to have them as friends. I could continue all day about this but...
     "Hello? Simon?" I snapped out of my trance and fell to the ground, immediately becoming confused.
     "Josh, where are we?" This wasn't the street that I had started running down, and I sure as hell didn't recognize it one bit.
     "Well shit Simon, I have no fucking idea. Are you sure you don't recognize anything?"
     "No... I suck at geography..."
"What now? Do you suppose we sit out in the snow until we catch hypothermia and die? This is great. JUST FUCKING GREAT."
"Josh, chill! Why are you all of a sudden so angry?"
"It's... I don't want to talk about it..." Josh looks down at his feet and I see tears starts to drip down to the ground. I grab his arm and get him to sit beside me on the curb.
"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want. Come here." I say and Josh leans his head onto my shoulder. We stay like this for a while, and I just comfort him as he cries into my shoulder.
By the time he finally calms down, it is almost dark. The chill outside made Josh's tears freeze to his face. His brown eyes were dark but now shimmering from the dusk's final light, and his nose was a light shad of red. His lips were pink, and plump, and they look so kissable...
I bit my lip to stop the temptation of leaning over and kissing him, my face becoming a dark red. I turned away in hope that he would notice.
"Hey Si, can we go now? It's getting colder."
"Yeah, um, how bout we just walk and try to find somewhere we recognize?"
"Sounds good," Josh giggles. Oh my god why does he have to be so cute in every way possible? No, don't think about that Simon.
Josh and I start to walk down the street to find our way out. And Josh starts to sing and it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
"Wise men say only fools rush in. But I can't help falling in love with you." I start to hum along to the song as Josh sings, and soon we are smiling and full out singing down the street. We sing the rest of the song before finding ourselves in front of the school again.
     "But I can't help, falling in love with you," Josh finishes the song. I can't stop smiling and when I look at him, I get lost in his eyes. They were so captivating, and loving. I pulled him into my arms and couldn't let go. At that moment, I knew. I wanted him. I wanted him to be mine and to never let go. I wanted to love him and let him know that I was always here. And I knew that it would probably never happen.
     We slowly pull out of the embrace, and when I look into his eyes again, they almost look disappointing, longing for something that wasn't present. Why does he look sad?
     "We need to get home soon, it's dark, and..." Josh trailed off at the end part. I knew he didn't want to talk about it so I just shrugged it off.
     "Yeah..." We walked in silence for a while until an idea popped into my head. "Hey! Since we both aren't going to school because of the dumb blind principle, why don't you stay at my house. Plus it will save us some time...!" I move my hands from side to side and wiggle my eyebrows. Josh laughs and nods his head, so I start to drag him to my house.
     Once we get there, Josh's mouth gapes wide open with surprise.
     "THIS is your HOUSE?!" I laugh and rolls my eyes.
     "Yes, It's the place where I go to to sleep at night and live." This is quite a common reaction to anybody who has ever visited my house. I mean, who would think that the loneliest (lol that auto corrected to kinkiest the first time I typed it) kid in school would have a giant house?
     "Wow," Josh says breathlessly and tries to take in everything. I have to smack his arm to get him to move to the door and once we get there I ring the doorbell. Almost immediately the door flings open and a small figure puts its arms around my waist.
     "Where have you been?! We've been scared to death thinking that someone got you!"
     "Calm down Vikk! We got lost and it took us a while to find our way to the house."
     "We?" Vikk slowly unwraps his arms from around me and looks towards Josh. "Ah, you must be Josh, the new kid!"
     "Yep, that's me," Josh says shyly and moves behind me to look over my shoulder. Since I am tall he had to stand on his tippy toes. Vikk and I both laugh.
"Sorry I didn't introduce myself! I am Vikk. And the other person that lives here is JJ."
"HEEEEEEEEEYYYYYY!!!" JJ shouts through the door in his normal loud demeanor. It took a while for me to get used to him, our personalities didn't exactly match up, his being loud and obnoxious and mine being quiet and shy. It all did work out in the end and it helped me out too.
"Here, come in and we'll get you all warmed up. I'm sure you need dry clothes after being out in the snow, Simon can help you with that." I blush slightly and try to act normal.
"Yeah, we have plenty of room for you, isn't that right Simon?"
"Um... Yeah!..." I quickly grab Josh's arm and pull him through the door. From behind me I hear Vikk and JJ whispering and laughing quietly. I try to go faster up the stairs with Josh behind me.
"Be gentle, he's new!" I hear JJ whisper shout and with that, I shove Josh into my room and slam the door shut.

Sorry about the really bad chapter ending! I didn't know how to end and literally sat for about 15 minutes typing and re-erasing what I typed. I know it's not exactly the best ending, but it's the best I could come up with. I hope you enjoyed the chapter otherwise! Thanks for all of your support so far on this story, Peace!
