Anne's heart raced a million miles an hour as Detective Shultz let out a blood curtling scream. The clown slowly and menacingly walked closer, tilting it's head with an ugly smile and an axe in it's hand. It was about 2 feet away, swinging the axe over it's shoulder when the door swung open and it dissapeared. Nurses rushed in. "Are you alright, Detective Shultz?! Did Anne hurt you in any way?" Shultz stammered, "N-no..." He cleared his throat. "No I'm fine. Nothing happened, sorry." The nurses left and closed the door behind them. "Now do you believe me?" Anne said, gasping and looking expectantly at the detective. "Anne, I believed you from the start," Shultz replied, "I just want to know how it dissapeared..." Anne sat up, "I've learned a few things about them if you'd like to know." Shultz straightened up and said, "Yes, I'd like to know all that you know about these clowns." "Well," Anne started, "You can't hurt them." Shultz tilted his head a little. "Why not?" Anne gulped, "Well... It's a long story." Shultz looked at her. "Tell me."

So Anne told Detective Shultz about her ending up in the forest with a clown, and her trying to injure it all the while defending herself. "I took out the knife in my backpack and I sliced the clown's wrist, but..." She sniffed, "It melted away on it's arm and appeared on mine." Anne remembered the whole thing like it was yesterday. She shivered. Shultz looked confused. "Well that's... Odd." He said, scratching his head. "I've never heard of such a thing in my life! But... I have to believe you. I saw this thing myself--" Anne interrupted, "No, sir, you don't understand! It's not just one, its many different ones, all different makeup, suits, weapons, you name it!" Anne's heart started racing again. "No one else can see them but me! No one! Not one person believes me! They can't! Because I'm crazy!" Anne buried her face in her hands, starting to cry. "It's like a curse..." She said softly. Shultz had a hand on her shoulder, comforting her. "Don't worry, Anne. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. I have to go though, it's getting late. Goodnight." Anne sniffed and said, "Goodnight." As the Detective opened the door, Anne called out, "Detective?" Shultz turned around. "Please... Please help me." Anne begged. Shultz smiled. "Don't worry, Anne," He said, "I will." At that, he closed the door behind him and left Anne in her room, on the floor still. She layed her head on her knees as she sat up against a wall holding her legs with her arms around them. You're my only hope, Detective, Anne silently told herself, Don't give up on me.
