Chapter 13

Shawn's POV

I was getting my things ready and picking out some cloths i would pack when I realised that I haven't texted Bethany. It was late but i still wanted to message her, she seemed like a really nice girl.

•(next day)•

Bethany's Pov

Christmas was in 5 days I got everyone presents so there's no need to worry about doing last minute shopping. I texted Shawn back and we agreed on hanging out today. He said he would be here at 6:00 pm to pick me which means I have 4 hours before he comes.

I went downstairs and found the kids and Brooklyn watching a movie. "Hey do you know where my parents are at? I said to Brooklyn. "They left to go buy last minute presents, they left me in charge of the kids. "He said making eye contact with me.

"Oh. Is it fine if I watch the movie with you guys?" I said in a really low voice but making sure he heard. "Bethany you know this is your house, you can do whatever you want you don't have to ask." He said sounding polite and laughing a little.

"Just making sure you were comfortable with it." I said smiling
"We're friends" he said looking at me and turning back to continue to watch the movie. "Right" I said mumbling

After the movie ended Harper and Cruz were asleep and Romeo and my sister wanted to watch another movie so Brooklyn put another movie on. I was walking upstairs when I hear my sister say "where you going Beth?"

"Oh I'm going to go get ready I'm going out with a friend." I said smiling. I looked at Brooklyn and he looked at me and looked away so I wouldn't notice that he was looking at me. I went upstairs and showered.

I decide to wear something simple but cute.

Shawn's POV

She messaged me saying she was ready so I made my way to her house. I'm really excited to hang out with her, and of course as friends.

Bethany's POV

After I finished getting ready I texted Shawn to let him know and he said he was on his way. I went downstairs and I saw Brooklyn in the kitchen talking to someone. As I got closer to the kitchen I realized it was a girls voice but I've never heard it before.

"Hey Brooklyn just wanted to let you know that I'm going out just incase my parents ask where I went even though I told them already but they might forget." I said standing in the middle of the kitchen looking at him and trying to see who was behind him trying not to make it obvious.

"Okay no problem" he said smiling. "Oh and this is my friend Sonia" he said looking at her smiling. "Hi nice to meet you," she said with a smile on her face and shaking my hand. "It's nice to meet you too." I said trying to put on a smile.

(Door bell rings)

"Oh well I'm off see you guys soon" I said. I opened the door and Shawn was standing outside. "You have a really nice home" he said looking around the outside of my house. "Thank you" I said giggling.

Shawn's POV

We both decide to go to a coffee shop and talk so we can get to know each other.

After talking for about 4 hours I dropped her home and we had a really nice time and I also told her that I will be leaving to Canada to spend the holidays with my family and she told me she wanted to see me before I leave.

We talked about how much she loves soccer even though she hasn't played it in a while. She also told me stories of her child hood and of her mom leaving her and her father. She is a very interesting person and I mean it in a fun way.

I know I'm late on this chapter it was supposed to be up on Wednesday and it's Friday and I'm really sorry but it wouldn't let me upload because I didn't have enough storage space on my phone until I deleted some apps.
