Karl forcefully held Sybil's shoulders

And slowly moved his mouth to her lips

Sybil was surprised, paralyzed

She simply closed her eyes

"Sybil. It is 6 o'clock in the morning. Wake-up sleepy head or you'll be late again to school." Rain yelled outside Sybil's room.

"I am going to take a shower dad." Sybil yelled back. She scrambled to the shower room and within 15 minutes she was ready to go to school. She ran the stairs and went straight to the kitchen, opened the ref and looked for something to eat. Her life had been like this since she lived with Rain. It would be a lucky day if Rain cooked for breakfast. She hated eating junky foods at school. Nothing to eat except a box of fresh cow's milk to drink and cold water.

"Dad." Sybil shouted from the kitchen. Her eyebrows pulled down together. Her voice brittle.

"Yes."

"There is nothing to eat. Ah, I'll be in a hungry strike again. Jeez."

"Oh I was busy yesterday investigating a murder case. I promise to pass by the grocery store today honey." Rain felt guilty.

"You better increase my allowance for today." Sybil complained to Rain. Face still furrowed.

"Okay honey. I am really sorry."

"It is alright dad. We better leave dad." Sybil slung her bag pack on her right shoulder.

Rain Krishan was a Police Officer/Detective in Charleston Police Department. He had been assigned in the Criminal Investigation for 5 years and had helped solved various crimes in Charleston. Since Blanca divorced him due to his infidelity, he focused his attention on resolving crime cases neglecting himself. In this way, he forgets his past. He regretted the blunder he made and it was hard for him to forgive his sin. He admitted that he still loved Blanca but it couldn't bring back their once happy family. He knew that the most affected in their divorce was her daughter, Sybil.

"It is a miracle you woke-up early today Sybil." Rain talked to her daughter while driving her to school.

"Because of that dream dad pestering me." Sybil soliloquy.

"You are very quiet? Is there something that is bothering you? Rain asked Sybil, concern.

"No dad. I am thinking about my assignment in literature class." Sybil lied to Rain.

"Oh I heard that your literature teacher is strict."

"Oh really? How do you know dad?" This made Sybil curious to know more. He hated her literature teacher but there was something in him that drawn her yet she couldn't decipher.
