Chapter 10: Alleluia

 "Alleluia! Jesus, this house is peculiar. Seems like I am in outer space." Sybil gasped, trying to composed her mind but she couldn't comprehend anything. She had never experienced this phenomenon in her entire life. What was happening was strange. She sensed she was engulfed in a super power energy. "Strange so strange." That was all she could utter. She could control matters inside the peculiar house by her mind. The same time she was drawn by fear enveloping inside her that her stomach churned.

"Where are we really?" There was perplexity in Sybil's voice.

"This is a safe house, Sybil. You'll be staying here momentarily until the situation is under control." Arik walked away from her. Like Sybil, he was marauded with several doubts in his mind asking whether Prince Kaleb was still in his right mind falling in love with human, saving her and even keeping her in his spaceship. This was the first time Prince Kaleb brought human in his spaceship. If the Emperor knew this, what punishment Prince Kaleb waits for him. Yet, who was he to oppose Prince Kaleb?

He was deep in thought that he wasn't aware that Sybil was behind him. "Tell me where are we really? Arik turned about face, meeting the gaze of Sybil. Sybil saw his eyes sparkled and she was damn scared. His eyes were emerald. She screamed. She could hear her voice echoing back and forth just like a radio frequency jumping up and down. The objects began to float in circling direction.

Arik raised his hand and with a snap of his fingers the objects returned to their proper places. "Don't be scared Sybil. We only want to protect you and nothing else."

"Then where am I?" She demanded.

"You are inside the spaceship."

"Ah what? A spaceship?" Sybil gasped.

"Yes, this is the safest place to hide you away from your dad's enemies?"

"No, I don't want it here. I don't want to be with an alien. I just want to go back home...to earth."

The word "alien" really hurts Arik. He almost schmuck her, scolded her, shouted at her to remind to remind her that if not for their protection the earth could have been dead now. Invaded by bad aliens from other planets. Arik had to let it pass because it not a worthy argument. Sybil won't understand either.

Arik gazed back into Sybil eyes. This time without winking and said, "You are still on earth. The spaceship is invisible to any human eyes. If you wish to leave, you can leave anytime. Once you leave, I can't guarantee your safety. You are the second target and those mafia will do anything to haunt wherever you go until they successfully get what they want. They want the evidence that your dad is keeping. It is record of government officials who have connection with the Lotus Wing. If you wish to leave now, I will contact Prince Kaleb."

Sybil was silent. Arik was right. She has no where to go. She has no mom. No dad. No family. She couldn't stay with Tara. Her family will be in danger as well. She ought not to be stubborn. Besides, she felt that this was the safest place so far. She still couldn't extract the right information, what was the connection of Cpl Rain to the mafia. Why mafia wants her dad dead? What was the connection of the government officials with the mafia? She was confused. 

After realizing her stubbornness, that her being hard headed would lead to nowhere she said sorry to Arik. Arik held her hands gently and the first time she held human hands with compassion. "It is okay. I understand how you feel." That was also the first time he understood why Prince Kaleb was so attached to earthlings. And why for 600 years, he had been protecting earth with all his powers and might. 

 Way back years ago, Cpl. Rain and Mr. Jones was ofgreat friends. They were like brothers, more than bloods. They were inseparable.They served the US Army Delta Force, special mission unit of the United StatesArmy. When the war broke-up in Iraq in 2003, they were commissioned by the USArmy to help overthrew the government of Saddam Hussein. Although SaddamHussein was overthrown by the US-lead coalition, the conflict still emanates dueto difference of ideologies. After spending 3-4 years of heinous war againstIraq that brought thousands of lives killed in the battle field, they werelucky to be alive. The ravaged of the war had changed the mindset of Ron Jones.He promised himself not to be in the killing fields again and there is farbetter way of finding a source of income. When they returned back to US, he andCpl. Rain separated ways. Cpl. Rain had not heard from Ron over a year. Ron maximizedhis hacking ability to go into the files of surreptitiously into the files ofthe high government officials. And there, he found out that they amassedmillions of monies during the war. Ron opted to expose their anomalies. He knewthat once he exposed the corruption of these high-ranking officials, his life wouldbe in danger so he changed his plan. He had a darkest plan. The darkest planthat broke their brother-like friendship beyond repair. He needed a partner. He needed Cpl. Rain to beat his side. His partner in crime.
