After finally getting some proper sleep I awoke to the sight of the sun. I rubbed my eyes and looked to the time on my phone. “10Am Urgh!” I said as I felt how heavy my eyes were.
Well if the nuns actually care a smidge about me they’ll be looking for me soon I thought or more they’d be looking for me right now my thought continued. I stood to my feet, stretched and carried on walking north. If they’re looking for me I won’t have much time until they’d search in here so I better hurry up I thought so I began a fast, power walk.
“Ok Cass I know your somewhere north, couldn’t you like give me a sign to where you are?” I said to myself as I looked around. “Come on Cass a sign, anything I’d notice” I prompted. I looked above instead of where I was going and so I tripped over something. I quickly got to my feet and saw that I’d tripped over an old number plate. I looked at the number plate; it said ‘UN0WH3R3.’
'Well that helps Cass' I thought 'BUT! BUT IT PROVES YOU ARE REAL CASS! It proves it!' My mind screamed at me. And so I carried on walking.
'Ok so how do I know where you are Cass? I thought to myself should I just look deep within or something?' My thoughts continued and I stopped for a moment. I looked to the skies and back down. 'Ok let’s try the whole look within myself thing' I concentrated and looked in my heart.
“Nothing” I said after a couple of minutes. Then I heard it, the sound of a hawk as it flew above me and cawed. “That’s it!” I said I knew it was weird but deep inside I knew the hawk would show me the way I needed to go so I ran. I followed the hawk as it flew above me.
After a while I reached the other end of the woods and the hawk flew away. Great! There goes my sat-nav to Cass I thought as I began to walk down the street. Ok so where to now? I thought myself as I walked down the street. I looked around could do with a sign of any kind please I thought. That’s when I saw a bus time table on the floor. I quickly picked it up and saw the word ‘follow’ written across the map in red ink. And one bus station was circled. Why not just tell me where you are Cass? I thought to myself I swear I’m on some kind of wild goose chase my thoughts continued. But I began to run, I knew were this bus station was, it was near a train station and I knew I had to get on the train to somewhere but I didn’t know where.
I began to run when I heard footsteps running behind me, I stopped and turned to see a man walking swiftly towards me.
‘RUN!’ I heard Cass’s voice in my head scream and so I ran as fast as I could to the bus station. Hearing his voice in my mind was truly the strangest thing and the strange connection I felt within me burned like it was growing.
I heard the man’s footsteps behind me quicken into a running pace and I glanced behind me to see him running not far behind me.
Can’t I run any quicker? I thought to myself but I knew I couldn’t.
‘Common, Belle RUN!’ I heard Cass’s voice in my head, encouraging me to run as fast as I could for as long as I could.
“Why do I need to run Cass?” I whispered quietly to myself, hoping he’d hear it.
‘Because he’s dangerous I will explain it all when you find me. I’m sorry I cannot find you myself it’s too risky’ I heard his voice in my head say. I took a glance behind me and saw the man holding something in his hand. I looked in front of me and thought of what the shape reminded me off.
A knife! The words came into my mind so quickly it was like they’d been stabbed there.
‘We need her blood’ I remembered the words that I had heard the men say in my dream. I gasped as the realisation hit me, they definitely wanted my blood. No one else’s they wanted mine.
