"he left because he went to jail. he was abusive to me and you. it was hard, scary calling the cops but i did and they sentenced him for 17 years. he's out and he's probably looking for us. you know those weird bruises and scratches you have? they're from him." and the bullying "he was a scary man mikey. i was trying to protect you but im dying baby. i have cancer you're going to have to fend for yourself soon im so sorry i wish i told you before. i have 2 months left maybe shorter and then im gone.. forever.." she said crying
"mom" i cried "no please"
we sat there for an hour hugging each other and crying.
fuck I've put my mom through so much and I feel like a shitty person.
he's out and i have to look out for myself and for her.
my stress level is rising every fucking day and i don't know if i could take it for much longer
