i walked up to mikeys house and knocked on his door.
this time he didn't answer an older man did.

"hello sir is mikey home?" i asked politely
"yes he is" he said with an evil grin
"is it okay if i see him" i asked
"go right ahead" the man smiled
"thank you sir" i said while walking away

fuck why did Bryce have to come.
"mikey" he said "who was the man?"

"my father" i said sniffing a bit
"what's wrong?" he asked
"he abused my mother and i more my mother because i was a year old." i said quickly "he went to jail but he's out now and he came to make my life terrible. my mom has cancer and i don't know what to do. im scared Bryce"
"mikey im so sorry" he said "you can come live with me if you want. my mom would love to have you"
"are you sure?" i asked
"positive" he responded
"now hold on a minute" i heard a voice "mikey what i did was in the past im a better man now i promise you have to give me a chance. look im sorry for what i did to both your mother and you. i want to fix my mistakes and start a family again"
"ill have to talk to my mom about it" i said hesitantly
"take all the time you want" he said
"mikey" Bryce said "i think you should forgive him"
