"We are moving to Canada. "

Madeline placed two suitcases inside the trunk of her car. You stared out the car window watching as the mother bird feed her babies, you released a deep sigh wanting to get it over with already. You placed your head against the car window closing your eyes, wanting to release more tears, but only a soft sobs were released. After two days of the incident between you and Madeline, You couldn't help but feel like a needy child, and you hated yourself for it. Everytime Madeline left the room more than an hour, you crave for her attention. Madeline didn't seem to mind, quite the opposite, she was overjoyed to finally be needed mostly to the person she loved.

Madeline made her way to the driver's seat, putting her seat belt on and starting the car. You flinched at the car engine turn on, you began to sob uncontrollable that caught Madeline's attention very quickly.

"W-What’s wrong Maple?" She stutters; her tone of voice clearly concerned. She furrows her brows and her lips quiver. "Please-Please don't make me‥…” Madeline grabs ahold of the wheel and places her head on it softly. Avoiding your teary gaze. ”I can't.... I can't..” you finally let out your tears, you cried loudly and inhale quick sharp breaths. “we…we both know that w-when you cry, I cry....” she said softly feeling a overwhelming pain of emotions. Madeline knew it was hard for you to let go of everything you ever knew, but she wanted You and her to have a fresh start together.

Madeline did her best to ignore your pleas and cries, she kept her eyes on the road, after a few hours your cries stopped. Only deep breaths could be heard in the quiet car, Madeline no longer desire for silence she began to speak.

"I promise you, when we get there in our little home, you are free to roam around." She said staring at the endless road, she clenched tightly on the wheel afraid for your reply. No words, no mouth movement, not even a nod or a grunt. She tried again. "My uncle left it for me after his death, you'll love it there. It has a garden, a fireplace, a nice kitchen;  imagine all the flowers you'll be able to plant. You can get your very own garden." She turned her head to give you a smile before returning her eyes on the road. Madeline placed her hand on your thigh, rubbing her thumb in a upper downward way. "Just the two of us, together alone and happy." After two minutes of not a single response for you, she begin to lose hope and almost entirely gave up on you. Madeline gave a disappointed frown before slowly sliding her hand from your thigh, you however stopped it. You placed your hand on top of hers, your eyes were practically glued to the scenery outside. "I will liked that very much...." Madeline cheeks flushed at your response, a warm smiled creeper up. However, her smile was replaced with a frown, You removed her hand off your thigh and squeezed your thighs together, she gave you a confused expression. "I need to pee. "

Madeline chooses the closets rest stop, she was bound to refilled her gas tank regardless. Madeline debated either letting you off on your own or trail along with you, but she didn't want to anger you. She could sense you are slowly warming up to her and didn't want to ruin it.

When she was about to remove her seat belt you stopped her by putting your hand on her cheek. She lifted her head up to asked you what's wrong but was surprised when she felt a pair of soft lips against hers. Her eyes widened I'm size and her face heated up, sadly it was only a quick peck. You removed your seat belt and opened the car door and ran towards Madeline's side. You wrapped your arms behind her, your chin on her shoulder and your lips near her ear. You gently whispered something before leaving to pee. By that point Madeline was bright red, she tried to contain the happiness rising in her.

"Don't miss me too much."

Madeline repeated the moment again and again never getting tired of it. Her heart melted everytime when she saw you smile, never fail to make her knees go weak.
