Athena's POV
"Hey, Cathy can you please stop moving and rest? Your pregnant for heaven's sake! You should be really careful." I said while slicing the pork for our dinner tonight.
"Thena, It's fine my baby is strong he is a demon after all. But who could have guess that my mate is the king's right hand. I guess we are bound to stay together forever!" My bestfriend replied while eating a sandwhich and laughing softly.
"The question is does your mate accept you? He only got you pregnant then what? Leave you behind? Men this day. It doesn't mean his some kind of a leader just because his the king's right hand." I spat at her not hiding the fact that I'm annoyed.
"Well actually he is kind of a leader." She was innocently saying that while looking at the news.
I just stayed quiet and gave her the food. I then sat beside her and watched tv. This is actually our routine everyday. After working. I will cook for dinner and then we watched the news which is all about my mate and her mate. We can just look from afar since I'm sure he will reject having a mate like me. I can't help but feel sad.
I then heard someone crying. I looked at my bestfriend and saw her sobbing. I hugged her since I know she just saw her mates face and realized she missed him a lot.
Sighing I stood up and turned the tv off.
"Go to sleep Cathy I will just wash the dishes and then I will be right there okay? Get some rest you still have work tomorrow." I said while taking her empty plate.
She said nothing but she nodded which is a sign that she agrees and went upstairs. My poor friend how cruel can her mate be.
After washing the dishes I then went upstairs and lay down thinking how cruel life can be to both of us I just hope tomorrow is much better than this day.
