I sat back in my seat, I quit listening almost a half hour ago. This was all to confusing. I luckily got a seat next to a window and surrounded by girls. Ya I'm a player, so what? I love how they do just about anything so homework ain't gonna be a problem so I just started on a new song.
I had gotten about halfway through when I felt someone taping on my shoulder. I looked over and saw some kid dressed in a black jacket and had a red Mohawk.
"Need something?" I said irritably.
"I need you to say away from my girls," he explained
"Watcha gonna do about it?" I started to get angry again, and I felt my fist slowly clench ready to fight.
"They're mine, you can't just swoop in and take 'em," I could tell he was starting to steam up as well.
"Watch me," I challenged. He lifted his hand to slap me, but just when he got close I turned and bit his hand. And that's why I got my canines sharpened.
He gave me a surprised face before yelping. I chuckled, "dude you taste nasty,"
"Says the guy who just bit me," he shook his hand out.
"Then don't try to slap me," and this is the weird part, we both started laughing.
"Oh my names Roderick by the way,"
"I'm Marshall, nice to meet you."
"Dude you don't need to be so formal," we both laughed when suddenly the teacher yelled at us for speaking up. We both rolled our eyes and went back to our conversation but quieter.
"So your in a band?" He asked while eyeing my bass.
"Yeah, Marshall lee and the scream kings,"
"I'm guessing rock?"
"How'd you know?"
He laughed, "you looking for new members?"
"Depends, watcha play?"
"Guitar," he said proudly
"Ya we got a spot, if you want come to my place after school. It just a block away in the big grey house."
He noded and we turned back to our lesson.
Class's soon ended and I went to each of my new classes. Turns out I got Roderick and Fiona in each. Gotta admit she is pretty cute, but strangely I saw her with pinky. So much thinking she hated him. I rolled my eyes when I saw him lean over and whisper something in her ear to see her blush madly and tried to hide it.
I smirked, my head filled with devious thoughts. Maybe I could maker her mine. See where I got with her. After school, I'll make a move and see what she does.
------
We hit the final cord of the song when Roderick walked into the door. I waved to him, "I'm surprised you actually came"
"yea i really wanna try," he said as he got his guitar out of his case and walked over to mw
"what song we doing?"
"here," i handed him the music to the westerner by falling in reverse. "I sing and play bass, jerry," i pointed to a tall boy with a dark green tee shirt and black skinny jeans and cut of gloves, "he's the drummer and Rachel," i gestured to a darker skinned girl with brown hair and a purple streak. She was wearing a black short with a torn up back with a band name on the front, "she's the other guitarist, so shell be helping you. So just wing it." he nodded and we started the song.
"I was born one morning in December
On the coldest day
Abandoned by my mother
Whom my father I was raised
My father raised my brother and I
With a stubborn heart
My mother left me her good looks and confident charm
Well I spent most of my teenage years
Searching for her love
I could not find it anywhere
So I turned to drugs
And after all the smoke had cleared
And it was said and done
I found myself addicted by the age of 21
I tell the truth
I've been beaten
I've been bruised
I was left for dead as well
I was wrongfully accused
You left me locked inside a cell
I've been cheated
I've been sued
But I have lived to tell
The more you kick me when I'm down
The more it truly helps
I feel the madness creeping slowly
Loved by many, I'm still lonely
Paid the price for your mistake
The music died the day I walked away
No, I won't let you win
Not this time my friend
You know that I'm better in the end
No, you won't take my pride
I'll keep my head held high
'Cause I know that I'm better in the end
Woaaah,
I know you're jealous
And you wish you could be me
I'm so smart and clever with my lyrics can't you see?
There's nobody better in this music industry
And in case you think you are, go ahead, give me a ring
Woaaah
I deserve a purple heart
From all my fucking wounds
Lacerations to my ego
Pride that I consume
And in your final hours
When you are looking back
You'll find that I'm the best at what I do
And that's a fact
No, I won't let you win
Not this time my friend
You know that I'm better in the end
No, you won't take my pride
I'll keep my head held high
'Cause I know that I'm better in the end
And all got to say
(Do do do do do do do do, bah bah bah da,
Do do do do do do do do, la la la la la la)
Take it or leave it
But you best believe me it's true
There's no mistaking, so please stop the faking, I'm through
You know I'm better than you
No, I won't let you win
Not this time my friend
You know that I'm better in the end
No, you won't take my pride
I'll keep my head held high
'Cause I know that I'm better in the end
In the end
(Do do do do do do do do, bah bah bah da,
