A/n: this one shot was requested by ForeverAFangirl1166 with no specific plot in mind. Hope you guys enjoy!
Zack's pov: its been a year since we didn't win battle of the bands and life has been great. Except for one thing. I think I have a crush on a band member. And that member may be a certain brunette bassist. Yes I'm in love with Katie. It doesn't matter though she would never like me back.hopefully I can impress her with the song I wrote that I'm going to show tomorrow.
*next day at band practice*
"Hey Dewey can I try out a new song I wrote?"
"Okay dude just give us the chords."
Luckily I made copies of the chords for everyone.
I started off " you you walked into the room on a Friday afternoon that's when I saw you for the first time and I was paralyzed. I had a million things to say but none of them came out that day cause I was never one of those that always had the best lines. Time starts ticking my hands keep shaking you don't even know that."
Katie kept looking over at me as she started playing her bass. "I try to speak but girl you got me tongue tied I try to breathe but I'm f-f-frozen inside I try to move but I'm stuck in my shoes. You got me paralyzed Paralyzed p-p-paralyzed" we finished the song. "Woah Zack that was amazing! Who is it about?" Dewy asked. "Oh um
Nobody." That's when summer cane up to me. She pulled me aside. "I know it's about Katie Zack. We all do except Katie! She likes you too Zack! I say you should go for it!" "Really? You think there should be relationships in the band?" "Even though it is unprofessional Katie is my best friend I want her to be happy. But if you break her heart I won't hesitate to break your neck (a/n: if anybody knows the musical this is a reference to the song time to play) got it? Don't screw this up Mooneyham.Now go tell her before I change my mind." Summer told me. "Thanks summer!" I walk over to Katie. "Hey Katie can I talk to you?" "Sure Zack! You know that song amazing! I just wish I knew who it was about. I am an incredible matchmaker I could totally get you your girl."
She told me. 'I want you to be my girl! Why can't you see that!' I thought to myself. "Katie the girl I was singing about was you! I'm in love with you! I always have been! Even when we were in kindergarten and we barely spoke! All I could think about was you as your beautiful brown eyes. Everything about you is extremely beautiful! I just wish you could see that. You're insecure and I don't know why. But if you let me love you you'll see how truly beautiful you are!" I told her. She had tears in her eyes along with the backup singers and the groupies. Summer already knew all of this. "Z-z-Zack I don't know stay to say except that that was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard! Thank you so much for saying that about me! I don't think I have ever felt more loved than you just made me feel. I love you Zack Mooneyham! I will until the end of time!" She kissed me. I felt sparks everywhere. After about 2 minutes the need to breathe became an issue so we stopped kissing. We looked at each other and said the same
thing at the same time "Wow."
