When you try to come out to your parents and they respond with "I'm going to ignore the fact that you just said that."
I don't even have words for this. If my child was coming out to me, I'd take all the time they needed for me to listen to them. I'd tell them that it's alright to be different. I wouldn't flat out tell them, "I'm going to ignore u" because that would tell them that I don't give a shit about their feelings.
