I'll Find You in the Forest

Back in the Forest...AND it was Matt's Idea

We're back in the forest we were just in a few hours ago, wonder if the monster-thing is still here. Why are we back in this forest? No clue... Why would Matt bring us her? No idea... Matt is just looking around completely avoiding me and conversation, I'm just walking beside him. But now that I take a good look at him, he seems to be contemplating something I mean he's doing the lip thing. Y'know when you completely cover your lips or hide them in your mouth.

"So..." I said, "What's up with you?"

"I dunno," He said, "why?"

"Well for one, you brought us back to the forest you were desperate to get out of, secondly, you brought me here and haven't said a single word! I mean What the hell dude!"

"Yeah I know I brought us back to a forest I'm terrified of-"

"And allergic to..."

"That too... but I kinda wanted to get away from our uncles and fathers, they keep telling me to bulk up and be a man."

"Ha! Don't sweat it,"

"Yeah-"

RUMBLE!! QUAKE!! RUMBLE!! ROAR!! RUMBLE!! QUAKE!! RUMBLE!! ROAR!! RUMBLE!! QUAKE!!

"NO! KENDALL RUN!!"

"Huh?" I turn around to see a tree almost fall on me.

Matt jumps to push me out of the way.

"Oof, You ok?" He asks.

"Me? Yeah, I'm fine,"

"Same,"

"C'mon it's almost nightfall let's go back anyway,"

"Alright,"

When we return, half the village is destroyed, blood is everywhere. Matt and I start searching to see if anyone is around. So, far we see no one. I start thinking the worst possible things have happened...

"KENDALL, MATTHEW?!" I hear someone yell.

"HELLO?!" Matt calls back.

"MATTHEW?! DEAR?!"

"M-MOTHER?!" Matt calls almost breaking into tears.

"MRS. BERLAND?!"

"KENDALL?!" Matt's mother called

"YES, IT'S ME ARE MY PARENTS WITH YOU?!"

"YES EVERYONE IS HERE, WHERE ARE YOU?"

"BY THE ENTRANCE TO THE FOREST AND VILLAGE."

"WERE BY THE BUTCHER'S SHOP."

We start to dart towards the butcher's cabin. Upon arrival we see all of our relatives bruised and scratched. I look around to see if I can find my parents so far I only see my brothers and mother...

"Where's my sister and father?" I asked my mother close to tears.

"I'm not sure..." She replied.

"Then let's find them,"

"Alright-" she fell.

"MOTHER!" I screamed.

"I'm alright dear find your sister and father, I'll stay he here with the boys,"

"Okay mother, I trust you know that you'll be fine,"

"I will be..."

I went off to find my father and sister in the small, but crowded area. I start to yell for them, "Father? Adelaide? Where are you?" "Kendall?" I hear my sister's voice yell. "I'm fine as well Father." My heart came to a resting beat finally aware of my family's safety.

"What happened to everyone?" I ask as we begin to return home.

"OH well, it was the strangest thing!" The oldest of my younger brothers says

"Oh yeah SOOOOO strange!!! Happened out of nowhere!" His twin had added

"Completely out of the ordinary!" the other two said.

"Well would you tell me what happened instead of trying to build anticipation, please," I pleaded

"I'll tell you," My sister Adelaide said, "Yes, it was completely out of the ordinary indeed, because while we had just begun to clean up the party decorations, I'm assuming you and Matthew had already gone by then... yes we noticed-"

"I care you noticed Matt and I left together because?"

"I don't know because-because!" She staggered, "Back to the story, as we were cleaning up a thunderous quake had struck the ground-"

"I fell!" My youngest brother, Gerard, chimed in.

"Yes, some fell, BUT BACK TO THE STORY," Adelaide pierced, "we were unsure of what the 'rumble' was, but not for much longer, as we were helping some up, a ginormous creature of all kinds of dismay had appeared!"

Oh no not the monster that had chased Matt and me!

"We all had then announced that it was best to be underground so we all charged toward the butcher's cavern, knowing of the underground cellar he stored aging meats in. And after that, we were above ground searching for you and Matt, Well father and I were looking for mother and the boys as well,"

"Oh, but this 'creature' you spoke of I think I had an encounter with it earlier today and most likely before or right after it had visited you!"

"Oh..." The rest of my family said in unison.
