The night was dark and cold.

Two girls, giggling happily, could not feel the chill bite of the wind. They were relaxing in a hot tub, outside in the middle of December, enjoying the warm water. Only their faces were chilly.

"This is so fun!" Squealed one, and her friend grinned.

"Honestly, I'm just going to move in with you."

Izzy and Abby laugh, their breath visible in the frigid air.

"Happy almost birthday," Abby says to Izzy.

Izzy laughs, feeling a bit dizzy from the hot water. "Thanks. It's really hot in here."

"I agree," says Abby, climbing up onto the side of the mini pool, her bikini dripping wet.

"I didn't really want to wear a bikini in the middle of winter," says Izzy, climbing up next to Abby. Izzy is wearing a gorgeous black bathing suit and looks very happy.

 "I love this new swimsuit!"

"It looks great on you," Abby agrees, watching the steam rise off the hot tub and float away into the air.

"You look like you're turning into steam," Izzy says, looking at Abby from across the pool. "

I'm a mermaid," Abby says in a goofy voice, falling into the hot tub with a loud splash.

"Gracefulness!" she shouts. Izzy rolls her eyes.

Just then, they hear Izzy's dog, Blades, barking loudly.

"Blades, come here, baby!" Izzy calls.

Her dog ignores her.

"Blades!" the girls call, and Izzy rolls her eyes.

"I is smart," she says, imitating her dog.

Abby grins. Blades whines, and the girls strain their eyes against the darkness.

"Blades!" Izzy yells. "Come here, Blades!"

 Her dog ignores her.

"Do you think he's okay?" Abby asks anxiously. Blades comes running back for the pool and Izzy sighs.

"Of course he's fine. You're crazy, yes you're crazy," she says to the dog.

"Do you think he saw something?" Abby asks. "Maybe it's Harry Potter under an invisibility cloak," Izzy jokes.

 Abby sighs. "I wish."

Both the girls had read the Harry Potter books several times. They were the ultimate Potterheads.

"Or maybe it was Sirius Black." Blades gives a low growl, and both girls jump.

"Blades doesn't growl," Izzy says slowly.

Suddenly, another dog comes bounding through the yard towards Izzy and Abby. They stare in awe as the pure black dog rushes towards them, stopping right in front of the hot tub. Its eyes are somber and sad.

"Oh my God," Izzy whispers.

The girls stare at each other. The dog drops something from its mouth, then turns and runs away, disappearing into the shadows.

"Was that--"

"I don't know," Abby says slowly.

She reaches down and grabs what the dog dropped. She holds it up, and she and Izzy stare in astonishment. There is a note, scribbled on a piece of yellowing parchment.

And, with the note, is a shimmering gold necklace, with a delicate chain and a mysterious circular pendant, with an hourglass in the middle.

"A time turner," the girls breathe. They stare at each other.

"Read the note!" Izzy says, staring at the note in Abby's hand.

"You have one mission," Abby reads, squinting at the barely legible lines on the parchment.

"You must go back to the year during which the Triwizard Tournament was held. As I know you have read in the documentations of Harry Potter's life, that is the year Cedric Diggory was killed. You have one mission," the note repeats itself. "Time has been messed up dreadfully by dark wizards. It is up to you to do everything you can to prevent the deaths of these three people:

Fredrick Fabian Weasley" Izzy gasps and stares at Abby.

"Is this real?" Abby asks, her eyes wide.

"Draco Malfoy... Oh it had better be real," Abby says.

"And Remus Lupin."

"Lupin?" Izzy asks. "But he died in the seventh year."

"Not if time is messed up," Abby says grimly.

Izzy stares at her. "Oh my gosh," she says.

"Are we just going to believe this?" Abby asks skeptically. "It seems impossible."

Izzy gives Abby a look. "Abby this is our chance to go to Hogwarts shut up."

Abby shrugs. "Alright then. I'll finish the note:

I will not tell you why you have been selected to do this. You simply must know that it is of utmost importance that you save each and every one of these people. Best of luck.

~Albus Dumbledore"

"So Dumbledore send Sirius to give us this message," Izzy says excitedly. Abby nods.

"But why us? It doesn't make sense!"

"I don't know," Izzy says, taking the note from Abby and flipping it over.

"20 turns should do it," Izzy reads. "Come on, let's do it!"

"Wait!" Abby says.

"Shouldn't we get changed first?"

Izzy looks down at herself. "Oh, yeah," she says.

"Alright. I can't believe this is happening."

"Neither can I."

"Hogwarts, here we come!"
