"There are many elements, Emily", he said softly, " Ice, fire, water, and air." I was shocked that he was even telling me this. "Emily, these powers are not what they appear to be."
What is he talking about? These powers seem like something someone would give up everything for, and I was just handed them, like they weren't wanted or important. "What do you mean? These powers make me feel great, energised, and at the same time confused. Lonely, different, and, partly, a freak. What are these powers. Where did they come from? Why me?", I said with an aching and throbbing head.
"Come down, Emily, all these questions I can answer in one word.", he paused like he didn't want to tell me, " They're, a curse." By the look of confusion on my face he could tell I needed more information.
"I will not tell you anymore, but you must leave before someone with more power founds out what I've done." Right after that a noise that sounded like an explosion happened and I spun around as quick as I could, and I almost fell down.
"It's too late for that", said a voice I've never heard before. His face a little greyish, and voice rough like a rock, yet I find comfort in his voice.
The one who gave me these powers jump off his perch, and stands in front of me. " She has these powers by my hand, Anthony, she is innocent, unlike yourself."
