For all y'all (yes, apparently that's proper English) who are playing Sun/Moon and have yet to become champion (bc, heck, you become champion in every game so why not this one) go and be a good child and buy yourself 30 or so ultra balls before you challenge the league.
I won't tell you why, only that you can't save after you become champion.
So go waste all your money on useful items. Don't be like younger me who was like, "Oh look! It's Cobalion! Ima go try and catch it with the 5 ultra balls I have!" I did that when I was playing White 2 Version. I didn't catch it in the end though. Score one for saving before you battle the legendary Pokemon.
In general, always have a lot of ultra balls on your person. I mean, if you're playing Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, or Soul Silver (I think gameboy games too, but idk), you never know when you'll encounter a legendary Pokemon.
The UBs on the other hand, just have a Pokemon that knows false swipe or hold back. The Beast Balls will work exceptionally if they only have 1 hit point left. Out of the 60 Beast Balls I got, I still have 38 left. Which is pretty good saying that there were 10 beasts to catch.
Anyhow, back to the point. Save BEFORE you sit in the Champion Throne and have a lot of Ultra Balls on your person. I'm trying to make your gaming life 10% easier, ok?
And if you need money quick, complete the UB side quest and Looker gives you ₽1,000,000. No lie.
