Remember Always Maddie's POV unless I say it's someone else's

I started running down the hallway away from the ballroom. I felt Mark's eyes burning into the back of my head. He was watching me run.

Mark's POV

I really wish that I wouldn't of been so shy and not chickened out of what I was going to say to Maddie. Now I know I'll probably never get to say it to her again before I leave Pittsburgh.

Maddie's POV

I kept running until I reached my hotel room door. Kalani said that she was walking down to the gas station again. I'm never gonna tell her where the vending machines are! Mwahahahahahaha!!!

When I was trying to unlock the door to my hotel room Jacob came out of his room next to mine.

Jacob- Oh hey Maddie

Me- Hey Jacob

Jacob- So how are things?

Me- Pretty good I guess I mean we just saw each other like an hour ago so nothing much has changed

Jacob- Oh right

Jacob looked really nervous like he had done something that he doesn't want me to know about. I knew exactly what he didn't want me to know.

Me- I can read your face Jacob I know you don't want me to know something. And I think I know what you don't want me to know

Jacob- You do oh I mean what I'm um not nervous about anything hehe

I crossed my arms and gave Jacob the eye brow raise.

Jacob- Ok you got me what do you think I don't want you to know?

Me- Well I know that you and Mark were snooping in my backyard at night about two or three days ago

Jacob's face turned red and he slowly started backing away from me. I walked up to him grabbing his shirt collar. He threw his hands up in surrender. He was pretty hot up close actually. God Maddie get to the point!!!

Me- You better tell me what you guys were doing back there!

Jacob- Ok ok I will as soon as Mark gets back

About 30 minutes passed and Mark still hadn't come back.

Me- One sec stay here I know where he is

I trudged away towards the ballroom and tried pushing the door open. Crud it was locked. I peeked through the crack at the bottom of the door and saw Mark. He was singing something. He was pretty good to be honest. I was able to make out one of the lyrics he was singing and I immediately knew the song. It was "Replay" by Iyaz. Except he had changed one of the lyrics. Instead of "Shawty's like a melody in my head..." he had changed it to "Maddie's like a melody in my head...".

I slowly stood up. I turned around and started walking back up to Jacob.

Jacob- So where is he?

Me- Oh um he's busy right now with something so you might as well just tell me right now

Jacob- Ok fine. The reason Mark and I were in your backyard was because...it was a dare from one of Mark's friends to sit in your backyard until you noticed us

Me- That's lame

Jacob- I know

I started to open my room door but Jacob spoke before I could get inside.

Jacob- Wait Kenzie.....um I kinda gotta tell you something

Me- Yeah?

His face turned pink.

Jacob- I kinda maybe have a crush on you

Me- That's nice

With that I walk into my room, close the door behind me, and lock it. I sank to the floor and put my head in my hands. The door was cold against my bare back but at that point I didn't care. I slowly rose off the floor and looked through the peep hole. I saw Jacob just standing in the hallway looking pretty hurt. I felt really bad. I unlocked the door and apparently Jacob heard it cause he lifted his head with wide eyes. I slowly opened the door and walked out. I walked up to Jacob and his eyes were red. It sorta looked like he was about to cry. I gave him a hud around the shoulders. He put his arms around my waist and I felt a shock go up my spine. I kinda liked it. I pulled away from Jacob and looked into his eyes.

Me- I'm sorry

Jacob- Its ok
