Branch jolted up from his bed, screaming. A tear fell down his cheek and he rubbed his eyes, his hands resting on his face. Branch sat there for a few seconds and then he heard a knock. He knew exactly who was behind that door and how long she has been there, it wasn't in his interest to engage with anyone right not, especially her. "Hey Branch!" Here we go again Poppy's pink her was neatly in a bun today, her flower crown on top of her little head, rosy cheek and she also wore a smile. She always wears a smile. Branch frowned. "I'm making a first day of school party! Do you want to come?! We will be singing and dancing and hugging and dancing and.." "No." "But.." "NO" Branch answered sternly, when he saw her open her mouth again, he placed a finger to her lips and hushed her. This however, didn't stop Poppy "Branch are you okay?" "No, can you go? Don't you see that I'm not in the mood to sing and dance and hug and sing and dance" he mocked her voice when saying the last part. " Why are you even here? You know I would never come! Do you know why? Because whilst you are careless and free, I'm going to make sure I don't get eaten! Life isn't all cupcakes and rainbows! I hope sooner or later you'll realise this." Poppy took out an invitation card and handed it to Branch and started to sing. "I can't stand by the side And watch this life pass me by So unhappy But safe as could be
