Flippin Brennan

Part Five

The water park was really fun. You and Brennan went to find Ryan and Katie but you couldn't find them so you decided to hang out with just Brennan. You went on almost every ride there and the only one left was the lazy river. You both grabbed tubes and hopped in. You talked the whole way around.
"I've had a lot of fun today y/n. I was really nervous that you wouldn't like me back." Brennan said.
"Yeah I've liked you for quite a while now but I was the same way, I didn't know how you'd react. Honestly I think Katie will be excited that you like me back." You chuckled.
"So y/n, I have an important question." Brennan looked at his hands nervously.
"What's up?" You asked.
"Will you be my girlfriend? I mean I get it if you don't and you're not ready but I just thought I'd ask incase maybe you did actu-"
"I'd love to." You cut him off.
He smiled and reached for your hand and held it the rest of the way around. When you got out you and Brennan went over to the chairs where everybody's bags were but you noticed his and your bags were the only ones there.
"Where are everybody's bags?" You asked.
Suddenly his phone went off. It was Miss Jill.
"Hello?" Brennan said.
"Hey we've been looking all over for you guys. Where are you?"
"Were at our bags now."
"Okay well come meet us by the car, we're ready to leave." Miss Jill said.
"Okay we're coming." Brennan said and hung up. "Ready y/n?"
"Yep." You said.
You got to the car and Katie and Ryan didn't wanted to sit in the middle so you and Brennan sat in the back. Obviously, you didn't mind. You and Brennan held hands the whole way without anyone noticing. Brennan was going to tell his family when he got home. When they got to your house Katie got out and hugged you and Brennan and Ryan waved but Brennan gave you a little smirk. You waved and walked into your house with your mom.
"What did you even do the whole time mom?" You asked.
"Miss Jill and I just sat and tanned. What about you?"
"Brennan and I went on like every single ride. Speaking of Brennan, uhm, I'm kinda his girlfriend." You weren't worried about how she would react to you having a boyfriend but you were worried about the fact that it's your best friend's brother.
"Oh honey that's great! Is Katie okay with it?" Your mom asked.
"Well she was excited when I told her I liked him so I'm pretty sure it's okay with her. Brennan's telling his family when they get home but I'm guessing they're already there." You said.
"Oh honey I'm so happy for you!" Your mom exclaimed.

Brennan's POV:
"Guys I have something to tell you." I said.
"What is it?" My mom asked.
"What's up?" Katie said.
"Ooohhh does this have to do with y/n?!" Ryan yelled.
"Yes," I said, "she's my girlfriend."
"Brennan!" Katie screamed, "Finally you got guts! Nice job man!" She ran up and high fived me.
"Awe Brennan that's so sweet!" My mom said.
"Brennan, you finally have a girlfriend! It took you long enough!" Ryan said playfully.
I took him and gave him a playful little shove. I was so glad they were all happy about it.
