"Hello, am I speaking to Ms. Parker?" A polite voice questioned from the other side of the phone.
"Yes. This is her" I answered back.
"I am calling from Oxford University and I am told to inform you that we would appreciate if you would join our school. We read through your school history and we think you'd be a perfect student to attend our school. Due to your age, we will provide you with shelter in one of poo it dorms where you will have two roommates. We would be delighted to have you here as soon as possible. We have arranged a flight for you. Will it be possible for you to leave tonight?" The lady spoke while I silently squealed in delight. I get to go to my dream school and I get to live with two other people!
"Y-yes! That is perfectly fine!" I stated still in a slight daze from being shocked.
"The flight leaves in four hours. You should be there two hours early for security check and to get situated. When you get there, just tell the lady at the desk your name and you will be free to go. Someone will be at the airport when you land to pick you up because you will be new to the country. Thank you for your time miss. We'll see you soon. Have a nice flight." She said while I noted everything she said in my head so I could remember.
"Thank you so much" I replied before hanging up the phone. I had the biggest grin stretched across my face.
I quickly thanked the secretary at the desk before hurrying outside. I have everything I need in my bag so I decided to walk to the airport because it is a long walk.
I started to think about all that's happening right now:
Is this the start of something new and good in my life?
*At the airport*
I got here just on time to go through the security check. I walked up to the lady at the front desk and told her my name. She smiled politely and directed me where to go. After I thanked her, I went through security check and was ready to board the plane.
The flight attendant showed me to my seat. After they told is what to do, I fell into a deep as slumber that I needed very bad. I dreamed about what my roommates would be like and how kind they would be. I also dreamt about what it would be like to finally live in an actual place where I could finally sleep on a bed after so long.
"Excuse me Miss, but we are landing so please put on your seatbelt and we will be on the ground very soon." The same flight attendant from earlier smiled sweetly at me.
"Alright. Thank you." I tiredly smiled back.
After about ten minutes, I was able to grab my bag and get off the plane. I looked around to see a guy holding a sign with my name on it. I walked towards him.
"Hey, I'm Brinley Parker. I'm guessing you are my ride to campus?" He nodded and smiled leading me to the vehicle I would be riding in. I climbed in the back and watched out the window as the rain slowly padded against the window with the radio playing quietly in the background.
Soon enough I thanked him and he told me the room I was staying in. It was in room 126 on the third floor. I slowly made my way to the the elevator and pressed the number three. When I made it to the floor I started counting the numbers on the doors.
122..... 123.... 124..... 125.... and finally my dorm.
I opened the door to see a huge room that was beautifully decorated with purple designed bedsets. I smiled because that was my favorite color. As I turned around I saw two very beautiful girls standing there smiling brightly at me.
