Will Graham often felt alone, like something was missing from his life. His sorta of adopted daughter, Abigail, had made him feel like he was a parent but it didn't feel like a family, he wanted a partner. He wanted what Jack and Bella had, love, love that's so deep that it didn't matter if they were dying, as long as they were together.

But Will Graham was too unstable for that. The only thing that had came close to that was the sex with Margot, but even then it was only out of sympathy out of each other's attack. Will's only feel of actual love was the kiss from Alana. But Alana didn't feel that back. And then, the only other time... was with Hannibal Lector.

Will was unstable, which Hannibal knew, of course. But Hannibal being Hannibal, he accepted that and took on the challenge that Will Graham put. After all, two unstable men work alike, just the difference in this is, Hannibal doesn't let his show.

Wills empathy had been a burden, the way those killers thought, he thought, hell he was one. Hannibal hospitality welcomed that into his life and unknowingly, Will Graham. The two men had a talked about it in their session.

"You're not here, Will. You're gone away again." Hannibal said in his Lithuania accent.

"Gone where?" Will responded

"To the place your demons control."

Will, whom was sitting on the couch next to Hannibal, arms wrapped around him in a friend type gesture, tightened his grip on the older man.

"Don't let them get me." He whispered

Hannibal placed his arms around Wills frame, running his hand up and down his back in a soothing matter.

"I won't my dear Will."

The two watched the fire burn at the logs in a warm glow, staying in silence for a few minutes and then a few minutes more. When Jack Crawford came in slamming the door, Will shot right up.

"Will!" He barked

"We got a new case. The Cheapskate Ripper killed eight more people."

Will looked at Hannibal, he knew with all his soul that he was the killer, and yet he was fucking cuddling with him. That's because Hannibal knew he knew, and yet, played innocent.

Will got up from the seat and away from Hannibal and the fire and to Jack, who went over the facts and evidence and all that stuff in the car.

Will wasn't listening.

That's because when Jack dared to mention the name Hannibal, it stung in the air like the name of Voldermort. And when Will heard his name, he saw The Stag Man. Many things triggered the stag, Hannibal's name, mentions of killers, being called a killer, and Abigail.

Garret Jacob Hobbs was her father. A murderous killer father. No good came from him, expect Abigail. She was also a killer, knew how it felt to take a life, watch as their own memories fade as their life does. And that's what triggered The Stag Man. The killing she did.

Even though it was night and The Stag Man and the same color of the night sky, Will saw him. He was standing on the side of the road like a hitch hiker just watching him. The mere idea gave Will shivers.

Jacks car passed The Stag Man.

As Jack pulled up to the scene of the crime, eight newly dead bodies laid on the ground.

One man had his pants and boxers down, his gentile cut off and shoved down his throat.

Another man, was hung by his wrist on a tree branches like a pinata while the cause of death to the visible eye looked like no blood flowing to his hands.

All the other six deaths had been lacked the creativity the others did. Four of them had gunshot wounds and the other two had been stabbed in multiple areas.

"This wasn't the Ripper." Will said

"How do you know?" Said Jack

"H-He wouldn't be this sloppy, wouldn't leave the dead bodies there. And why only two special deaths, four boring and another two stabbed in the heart?"

So, like any other person who wouldn't understand Will, he said.

"Use your empathy."

Like he would understand.

Yet that's exactly what Will did.
