After that nigga Drew tried to clown me for talking to Nate im not gone lie I started to question giving him a chance again. I mean when it came to looks drew was that nigga . He stood about 6'4 , Darkskinned and was built to the gawds but his personality was trash. He was such a lame tbh. I was in deep thought until my phone started to ring. I really didn't wanna be bothered but when I saw "Nate 🤒" I knew I had to answer.
"Hello?"
"Hey why are you ignoring my messages Carmen?"
"I'm going to be honest with you Nate.... The thought of you never walking again is haunting me. I really do like you but when I think of you all I can think about is your chair. "
"LOOK I'm not going to beg you to understand.i told you that I'm normal. I'm normal. If you can't see that then I guess you'll miss out on a great guy because you can't get pass the fact that I'm paralyzed . Temporarily.
"NATE!" But before I could finish he hung up in my face. To be honest I couldn't even be mad. The way I was acting was reckless and shallow. I was better than this and I was going to be better.
So I was going to surprise Nate with a fun afternoon.
I made a few calls and made sure that his homeboys had him at Airline skating rink on Saturday at 7pm.
Now I'm not rich but I got the hook up. So i arranged for it to be just me him and he DJ.
When he arrived he seemed a bit agitated. I was a bit nervous so I had a few shots from the bar. I asked him if he wanted anything to drink .. He asked for a sweet tea. I was referring to alcohol but to each is own.
We sat down for a bit and ate some pizza and wings. After we are there was a awkward silence then someone walked in. We both looked up and there stood drew.
"Excuse me but what are you doing here?" I asked politely trying not to start drama.
"BITCH, you out here wining and dining a crippled ass nigga? I must have really shattered your self esteem." Drew basically spat at me.
I was shook tbh.
"Wait now hold the fuck up homeboy you don't about to disrespect my lady like that. Say all you want about me but I got goons who will hack you up without hesitation."
That's when drew walked up to Nate and looked down on him... I damn near screamed when Nate did something I thought that he couldn't.. He stood up and looked drew
dead in the eyes and told him "you got 5 seconds to walk away or I'm not gone be the only one who can't walk come tomorrow." Drew turned around without saying a word and walked out of the rink.
"Nate you don't know drew. He is crazy .. He know people.. If you know what I mean."
Nate eased back into his chair and said "me too honey."
After that incident I knew that Nate was that guy and that's when we were officially together.
