Yuck,dogs. My mom is forcing me to go talk to my new neighbors,who happen to be dog hybrids. She doesn't seem to understand the whole 'cats and dogs hate each other' thing. Hybrids or not,we hate each other,its just nature.
"Piper! Come! Now!" My mother yelled. Pushing me out the door. "But mom! Their dogs!" I complained. "Piper don't be rude! I'm sure their lovely people." I just groaned.
We were now at their door. Knocking. "Coming!" A feminine voice called from inside the house. A woman around 5 foot answered the door smiling. She had brown floppy ears and a somewhat spotted tail. She looked like a beagle. "Why hello their,may I help you?" She said.
"Um yes,we're your new neighbors and we just wanted to know if you would like to stay for dinner in a bit." My mother said grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Well that sounds nice,sure we'll join,what time?" The lady asked,cocking her head to the side. "6." My mother replied. "Lovely see you th-" The lady was cut off from a loud voice yelling "Mom!? Who's at the door?!"
Then at that moment a boy,around my age,which is 16,appeared at the door. He had black ears and a black scruffy tail. He looked like a black lab. He also had brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes. 'Damn he's gorgeous.' I thought.
He then moved his gaze towards me. Right when our eyes locked he smiled brightly,causing me to blush a bit. "Hi." He said to my mom. She just smiled and replied with a 'hey' back.
"We'll be joining them for dinner later doesn't that sound nice?" The boy's,I'm assuming,mother asked him. He then looked at me again,smiling. "Yes,that does sound nice." He said. "Oh! I'm Sage by the way." He added. "Well its nice to meet you Sage,I'm Julia and this is my son Piper." My mother replied back, smilng. "I'm Sandy." His,again I'm assuming,mother said.

It was 5:52 and Sage and his family would be here any minute. I was freaking out on the inside. A sexy dog person would be here soon,in my house. Not in a million years would I think I would fall head over heels for a dog. But hey,unexpected things happen all the time.
There was a knock at our door and I internally screamed. "Come in,come in!" I heard my mothers barbaric voice say. I was in my room laying on my bed,trying to muster up courage to go down stairs and face Sage. Suddenly there was a knock at my door. "Its opened!" I yelled. The door opened. "Yo,your mom sent me up to come get you." Said a voice. I turned my head,only to lock eyes with Sage. Holly mother of cheese balls he looked good.
"Oh,um,o-okay." I stuttered. He smiled at me eyeing my room for second. "Nice room you got." He said. "Thanks."
We walked down stairs side by side. His tail "accidentally" brushing up against mine almost every step,making me blush like a fridgen tomato.

Dinner was boring. The whole time nobody really talked it was a just a lot of silence. Not awkward silence though,more of a comfortable silence. "Piper dear,why don't you and Sage go up to your room and talk for a bit." My mother said. I turned to Sage he was blushing a bit,but smiling. "Uh,sure." I said. Feeling a bit nervous.
Me and Sage walked up to my room,when we got there I sat down on my bed,Sage sitting down next to me. He smiled. "You're pretty." He stated. I turned to him shocked and blushing like mad. "W-what!" I said with wide eyes. He blushed looking down a bit. "I said you're pretty." He said quietly. I just smiled a bit. "Really?" I asked shyly. He looked up smiling. Nodding his head. I giggled a bit and tackled him to the bed. Wrapping my arms around his neck. I rubbed my head in his neck,purring loudly. "I think your pretty too." I said quietly. He smiled a bit and started to pet my ears. I purred louder,wrapping my tail around his leg.
He pulled my head up to look at him. He blushed a bit before asking,"Is it weird that I really want to kiss you?" I giggled and smiled. "Not at all." I said before planting my lips on his
